After nearly two decades of The Block, Scott Cam has basically seen it all.

However, the usually hard-to-rattle host, 60, has been so appalled by the behaviour of some of this year’s contestants that we hear he had to call an emergency meeting to pull everyone into line.

“Scotty knows that the drama is necessary for ratings, but he does think things have gone overboard,” an on-set source tells Woman’s Day.

“It’s giving him flashbacks to 2021 – when Tanya and Vito’s cheating scandal nearly derailed the show – and he’s warned the cast that he won’t tolerate any more games or lies again.”

Foreman Keith reckons this season hasn’t been “fair”.

Cattiest season yet

Scott’s last-ditch effort to halt the drama comes as the show, which hasn’t even reached the halfway point yet, has already been dubbed the cattiest Block ever – with one viewer declaring the mean girl antics are “making the show unbearable”!

Our spy says things are about to take an even nastier turn on the hit reality renovation series.

According to the source, this week viewers will see South Australian Kristy target Steph and her husband Gian and start sabotaging their work!

Kristy, 34, reportedly boasts about the influence she has over Steph and uses it to interfere with her room, and the architect falls for her games, hook, line and sinker!

While the underhanded scheme won’t come as a huge shock to viewers, Steph, 27, tells Woman’s Day she’s been blindsided by Kristy’s behaviour.

The NSW contestant says she believed she’d built a genuine connection with Kristy – until The Block started airing and exposed the true nature of the project manager’s feelings towards her.

“I felt I had a really good friendship with Kristy. I felt like I could speak to her quite openly. She made me feel quite comfortable,” Steph tells Woman’s Day of her fellow Blockhead and supposed confidante.

But Kristy previously admitted it was a “game play” to be nice to Steph and Gian.

Faking it

“We are all very competitive people,” she tells Woman’s Day.

However, Kristy claims Steph is also putting on a facade!

“She was very strategic about her [architecture] business and came in wanting certain things out [of The Block],” she says.

“It was like a huge thing in her life plan.”And it sounds like there won’t be a happy reunion at auction day now that Steph’s seen Kristy’s true colours on screen.

“I’m only interested in reciprocated relationships,” Steph tells Woman’s Day.

“If someone wants to be rude, well, that’s not my style.”

“You’re truly pushed to your limits,” says Liberty (left).

Bribes on The Block!

Meanwhile, sabotage isn’t the only scandal on Charming Street this week.

Victorian sisters Eliza and Liberty – who have already been accused of getting special treatment on The Block – are set to cause a stir again by bribing the builders on site after being caught breaking the rules!

According to an insider, the desperate duo are forced to find a “reward” for the show’s builders Nine in Six to pay a “fine” after they fail to follow regulations and face having to rip their entire room out and start over again.

“We aren’t perfect,” Eliza, 37, admits to Woman’s Day, confessing the stress of the show often got to the sisters.

“Nothing can prepare you for The Block. It’s SO, SO, SO HARD, and there’s no way to adequately portray the trauma on TV,” she says.
