Brooke Blurton is looking for love, but with 16 men and women going into The Bachelorette mansion this season, some hearts are bound to be broken.

Group dates leave us giggling and single dates may put butterflies in our stomachs, but at the end of each episode, someone has to go home.

That means one less rose each night for Brooke to hand out, and one more smitten contestant piled into a limo for a tearful drive home.

Jamie-Lee made it to the finale, only to have her heart broken when Brooke chose Darvid instead.

“My heart is with someone else,” Brooke told her through tears, while Jamie-Lee cried and said, “I really am happy for you. I feel lucky to have had this chance with you.”

“It’s not how I saw things going but I feel lucky to have been given the chance to have my final shot… I’m sad it ended this way but it just wasn’t meant to be,” she said in the car as she drove away.

Holly said goodbye in the penultimate episode when she and Brooke realised their plans of having kids and settling down just didn’t line up. It was a sad but respectful conversation, and Holly later praised Brooke on Instagram.

“In the end, it wasn’t meant to be with Brooke and I, but I wouldn’t change any of it for the world. Brooke is an astounding woman who I hope finds the love she wholeheartedly deserves,” she penned.

Konrad was sent home after Brooke decided their plans for the future were just too different, but he wished her only the best as he left the mansion.

“This was about her, this was about finding the right person for her and unfortunately that wasn’t me, I will always respect her choice to not take me any further,” he wrote on Instagram.

Kurt was sent home in another double elimination and took to Instagram to write: “It wasn’t meant to be for us and that’s ok. Whilst it hurt for a bit, I took happiness in knowing she was on the path to find her special someone.”

Millie was eliminated on the same night but said there are no hard feelings between her and Brooke. “I didn’t find love with @brooke.blurton, but I can honestly say that I had a truly wonderful time,” she penned on Instagram.

Luca was sent home in a double elimination despite many fans thinking he had a real chance of winning Brooke’s heart. “I have so much to be grateful for and smile about, Brooke and I just weren’t meant to be, and that’s okay,” he wrote after his exit.

Will was sent home on the same night as Luca and took to Instagram to write: “What an experience! I’ve been lucky enough to meet some beautiful souls and have had an absolute blast. I wish nothing but the best for Brooke and all the remaining legends❤️”

Taje was one of two contestants sent home in the rose ceremony after the Mardi Gras group date, but said her tears on-screen were of “relief”.

She told Ten: “Maybe it wasn’t meant to be that we were together, but I wished her all the best and it was a beautiful moment to me, especially being another First Nations woman.”

Steve was sent home in the double elimination, but said he “kind of knew” his time with Brooke was coming to an end.

“It’s her story, her journey, her trying to find her person and it wasn’t me! It was someone else in there and that’s what it’s all about really,” he told Ten.

Ryan was sent home after a dramatic group date, in which Kurt revealed he had suspicions that Ryan was attracted to Jamie-Liee. Brooke was shocked and said “Ryan and I were probably never going to ride off into the sunset together. But hearing it involves Jamie-Lee is hard.” She then sent him home at the rose ceremony.

Jessica was one of the intruders and didn’t get much time with Brooke before she was sent home.

Carissa decided to take herself out of the game last night, revealing to Brooke in an emotional chat that she couldn’t fall in love in the environment of The Bachelorette.

“I listened to the connections others were forming and felt happy for both them and for Brooke,” she recently told TV WEEK. “Love is such a beautiful thing and I’d never want stand in the way of that.”

Jess was sent home in a shock quadruple elimination after four intruders entered the mansion. Taking to Instagram after the episode aired, she wrote: “Although things did not work out between @brooke.blurton and I, I wish her happiness nonetheless and hope she does find love.”

Bec was also sent home in the quadruple elimination, but found something positive to say when she took to social media afterwards. “So grateful for every single one of these amazing and incredible women. You are everything 🥰” she wrote.

Emily was another victim of the quadruple elimination and said on Instagram that even though she didn’t find love on the show, she was grateful for the experience. “Unfortunately I didn’t find love with Brooke but I did find it with some amazing friends I’ll keep close to me forever ❤️” she penned.

Matt was the fourth person sent home in the quadruple elimination and the only man eliminated that night. After the episode aired he took to Instagram to share the “pros” from the experience, writing that he was grateful to have met Brooke, made some close friends and gotten out of his comfort zone.

Ritu was sent packing on the third night, and we’ll miss her beautiful representation of her culture on the show. “Representation is important, always has been, and I’m glad I get to show up and be a part of this 🦋⚡️” she wrote on Instagram before she left.

Beau was left rose-less on the second episode, but he didn’t seem to cut up. “Short & sweet, just like Brookie 🤎🥀” he wrote on Instagram. “It was an epic experience nonetheless and I’m wishing all those beauties left the best of luck.”

Johann was sent home on night one after getting limited one-on-one time with Brooke, but in an Instagram post he wished her “all the best” in her quest for love. We’ll miss you Johann, even though we barely knew you!
