The brand-new season of The Bachelor has only just begun, but already Channel 10 has revealed a major detail about exactly how the show will end.
The 2020 Bachie finale will culminate in a shock love triangle, as Locky Gilbert finds himself falling deeply in love with not one, but two women.
“Locky, by his own admission, falls in love with more than one girl,” The Bachelor Australia’s executive producer Hilary Innes told Media Week on Monday.
Yep, it’s pretty much the opposite of what happened in 2018, when the Bachie literally picked no one.
“Famously the Honey Badger [Nick Cummins] couldn’t choose someone,” Hillary said, “and now we have a Bachelor who has fallen in love with more than one girl, which is a first for us in Australia.”
And the network isn’t shying away from promoting this shocking plotline.
In fact, it’s featured heavily in the early teaser videos released to promote the show – Ten are calling it “an ending you won’t believe” – and it will be foreshadowed during the first few minutes of The Bachelor premiere tonight.
“It shouldn’t be this way, but it is. I’m in love with both of them,” Locky laments in the jaw-dropping trailer, which you can watch below.
“It’s ripping me apart. Like, you don’t break up with someone that you love.”
In vision from the final rose ceremony, where Locky makes his final decision, he is seen breaking down in tears over his agonising choice, yelling, “F–king hell” on camera.

Just hours ahead of the show’s premiere, Locky confessed that deciding which woman to choose nearly broke him.
“When I got down to the end, it was one of the hardest decisions of my life,” Locky told KIIS FM‘s The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Wednesday morning.
“People say you can’t be in love with two people. But I definitely think you can and in the Bachelor world it’s definitely possible,” he added.
But he put to bed the theories that the finale episode ends with Locky deciding to date both women, with the trio riding off into the sunset in a ménage à trois, and confirmed he makes the tough call and sends his runner-up home.
Speaking to Now To Love this week, Locky confirmed he’s now dating (and in love with) just one of the women.
“It’s an amazing feeling – I don’t think I’ve felt love like this before,” he said.
“I wake every morning and the love is stronger and stronger, I can see so far into the future [with her].”
Yet the COVID-19 panic and strict border closures mean the new couple haven’t been able to see each other in person since filming wrapped about a month ago.
“We unfortunately haven’t seen each other,” Locky told Kyle and Jackie O.
“We had the rendezvous after the show and because of COVID and I’ve been locked up in a house here in Perth, so we haven’t seen each other and it doesn’t look like we’ll see each other too much until after the show [airs].”
It’s a bizarre start at love for the new couple, but we’ll just have to tune in to see how it all unfolds.
The Bachelor Australia airs on Wednesday and Thursday nights at 7.30pm on Channel 10.
