Now, the 31-year-old presenter, who’s appeared on other 10 shows, such as I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, Dancing With The Stars and Studio 10, reveals he’s interested in joining the franchise… just not as the suitor.

“I’ve got a girlfriend now, so I don’t know if I’m quite Bachelor material!” he tells TV WEEK with a laugh.

“It’s only been six months, and she doesn’t live in the state, so we’re doing long distance. But so far it’s been great.”

Instead, he’s got his sights set on another role on the hit dating show: the host!

“When Osher [Günsberg] is ready to retire, I’d love his job,” he declares of the new dad, who’s currently juggling four reality shows on the network.

“But he’s getting better looking with age, so I’m not holding my breath just yet.”

Scott Tweedie attends the 2019 TV WEEK Logie Awards.

Until Osher hangs up his Bachie cap, Scott will continue hosting music show The Loop with Liv Phyland.

The series, which debuted in 2012, recently celebrated its 400th episode. In all that time, there is one moment in particular that stands out for Scott.

“I was doing ARIA red carpet live for The Loop, and I was chatting to Kylie Minogue and James Blunt,” he reveals.

“Ed Sheeran was walking past and he knows those guys well, so he came up and gave them each a kiss hello. I was just the third in line, so he gave me a good old smooch, too!”

It may not be in Bachie Mansion, but Scott sure seems to have some good times on set of The Loop!
