It’s not uncommon for reality TV stars to find love on their respective shows – in fact, that’s exactly what majority of them are looking for.
They’re squished together for months on end, with no one else to think about but one another, their futures and how love could look outside in the real world.
While we have seen many crash and burn, we’ve also seen many others go the distance and some have even tied the knot!
But what about the countless others who have found fame by being on some of Australia’s most prolific reality television shows? The ones who have convinced the country and themselves that they’re “on the shows for the right reasons” and “looking for love”?
These young stars find themselves with instantaneous fame, they get invited to the biggest events of the year; including the races at Flemington, launch parties and the openings of the hippest and trendiest bars in the country.
So now, this new generation of millenial influencers are partying with one another and spending all of their time in the “inner circle”.
Being so intertwined, it is inevitable that they will all find solace with one another, and start dating.
From The Bachelorette’s Rob Colangelo and Married At First Sight’s Carly Bowyer to The Bachelorette’s Charlie Newling and The Bachelor’s Dasha Gaivoronski – here we take a look at the reality TV couples who have found one another
Married at First Sight’s Dean Wells and The Bachelor’s Belinda “Love” Rygier
Fans were shocked on December 1 when a video emerged of Married At First Sight breakout star Dean Wells cascading wads of cash over The Bachelor 2017 star Belinda ‘Love’ Rygier, but that was only the beginning of the reality rejects’ rendezvous!
Indeed, the duo made quite the connection during their Gold Coast party weekend, but Belinda says their spark fizzled as fast as it began, as she’s looking for something that lasts longer than one night.
“I thought he was really good looking and handsome… He might have hit on me,” she says giggling, promising that it didn’t go further because he’s too popular with the ladies.
“We didn’t have sex or anything, but there was flirting and the more you sort of get to know someone, the more you see whether… I guess he was interstate and it… I’m trying to be diplomatic!” she reasons.
“He’s a good guy! But he’s really enjoying the perks. Honestly, if he was on the same page as me, I probably would have pursued it, but he’s not on the same page. I don’t want to waste my time emotionally with someone if it’s just going to be [one night].”
Married at First Sight’s Carly Bowyer and The Bachelorette’s Rob Colangelo
Married at First Sight’s Carly Bowyer and The Bachelorette’s Rob Colangelo not only used to date but were madly in love.
In an interview with NW, the hunky Italian spilled all.
The 30-year-old plumber from VIC reveals he’s a relationship kinda guy, but there’s one ex who is particularly special to him and that is Carly.
“She was my most serious relationship to date – we lived together, we were together for the longest I’ve dated someone,” he confessed in an exclusive chat.
“Unfortunately, it’s been three years since we broke up. It was just one of those things,” he revealed.
“I don’t think it was from a lack of trying, but unfortunately we just couldn’t seem to make it work. After a bit of time passed, we rekindled and became friends again.”
Rob says he and Carly, 32, are regularly in touch and he still sees her family “quite a bit”.
“She has a lot of awesome friends and a nice family and her brother is really nice. It’s kinda hard to say goodbye to the family and friends sometimes… “

The Bachelorette’s Paddy Colliar and Love Island’s Erin Barnett
Paddy Colliar, from Ali Oetjen’s season of The Bachelorette definitely brought a level of cheekiness and fun to the series, so it’s no wonder that Love Island’s Erin Barnett would be taken with him.
In an exclusive chat with Now to Love, Paddy revealed that before going into the mansion, “he was seeing Erin.”
“We were together for four months, but the timing just wasn’t right.” WOW! Another bachie – reality TV crossover, we didn’t know we needed!
So if Paddy was doing OK with the ladies – how come he applied for the show?
“I was at that point in my life when I didn’t owe anyone anything,” he said. “I was single. I was at a point where I was concentrating on work, focusing on myself and then I guess the timing was right. I took the opportunity and I do not regret anything.”
It was only after the application process, that Paddy, an Adelaide native, started “seeing” Erin, but when they realised it wasn’t working out, the romance ended and they both went onto their respective reality shows.
Now, the personal trainer is taking time for himself again – and is not jumping into anything.
“If the right girl comes along and I actually see a future with her, then yeh,” he said.
“I’m getting to a point in my life, I’m getting old – I’m nearly fifty,” he joked. “If the right girl comes along and has the right traits, qualities and attributes and or very similar, than yeh – why not.”
The Bachelorette’s Charlie Newling and The Bachelor’s Dasha Gaivoronski
Charlie Newling was by far the most controversial breakout star of Ali’s season of The Bachelorette and it was the famously flexible Dasha Gaivoronski from Nick Cummin’s season of The Bachelor who caught his eye.
While it seems they are actually not a couple anymore, in an interview with TV WEEK just after the show ended in early November, the builder confirmed that he was currently “seeing” the sassy star, Dasha Gaivoronski.
“We’re seeing each other, we’ll call it that for now!” Charlie told TV WEEK. “We haven’t really put a label on it. It was hard to label it while the show was still on and we were trying to keep things low-key.
“We are the best of friends and that’s a good basis for a relationship. We really enjoy each other’s time and we really click and get along,” Charlie, 31, said.
“At least one good thing has come out of The Bachelor this year!” he jokes, referencing this season’s disappointing finale where Nick chose to remain single.
The Bachelorette’s Rob Colangelo and The Bachelor’s Emily Dibden
Following in Charlie Newling’s footsteps, Rob Colangelo from Ali’s season of The Bachelorette started seeing one of the Honey Badger’s “former flames”.
The lucky lady was Emily Dibden, the dancer from Canberra who famously put Nick Cummins in a leotard!
When asked about his romance with the tall beauty, Rob told Now to Love: “Well it looks like the cat’s out of the bag with our date!” so we’re taking that as a big, fat CONFIRMED.
Another Bachie insider also revealed that the newest Bachie-verse pairing have only just started dating, so it’s “early days” for the couple but we think they look super suited!
Rob and Emily were both spotted at a Maxim event in Sydney last month, and weren’t very secretive about anything, with both posting pics to their Insta stories.
Also in attendance? Married at First Sight’s Carly Bowyer – but no drama ensued!
We don’t really know if they are still on – but our sources say they only met that weekend – so who really knows?
