After a record making (and heartbreaking) auction finale on this year’s season of The Block, winners Omar and Oz are looking forward to some much needed rest and relaxation.

In an exclusive with Now To Love, the friends said after months of hard work, and a cool $1.6 million dollars extra in the bank, that they looked forward to spending quality time with their families.

”Seeing our family, the little ones, just after three months was the most emotional moment for us,” Omar said.

”Being able to see them on the A2 milk day, that was beautiful. Having our kids run up to us after having such a tough time. I mean, The Block is obviously an amazing experience, but it’s also one of the hardest, so that was an emotional time for us.

”Our families were super proud of how hard we worked. They know how much we had to go through to get to where we were, and they know we built amazing homes, so they’re just super proud that we got a result out of it.”

According to the pair, their incredible winnings were ”life changing” and would make their respective families’ lives ”amazing”.

”We’re gonna go home and Oz and I will brainstorm and see where life takes us next,” Omar said in the moments after winning the auction.

Oz added, ”Everybody’s seen what two great minds did, we broke history and we’ll continue that outside.”

Speaking of brainstorming, it seems like our 2022 The Block winners have already decided where to start spending their hard-earned prize money.

”We’ve got a car that takes us from A to B, but we’re going to buy ourselves a golf cart. We absolutely love playing golf. It’s a very relaxing game; it’s good to reflect upon life and where we want to go now,” Oz told Now To Love.

The doting dads said that after some well-deserved self-indulgence they would also be donating an unspecified portion of their winnings to charity.

”Omar and I, we are two brothers that would love to continue what we do best, we would love to give back,” Oz told The Daily Mail.

”We obviously put a lot of hard work into charity, we’ve [donated] to charity all of our lives and this time we want to give back to kids.”

While Oz didn’t reveal how much exactly they will be donating, he said that his family back home have already picked a charity.

”We want to put it out there that we want to give back to the people that are less fortunate.”
