In a shock MKR romance, lovable salon owner Sal, 52, and flight attendant Chris, 57, have been enjoying a secret flirtfest.
“Nobody on set knew about their flirting,” a source reveals. “They were so careful not to make things obvious as they both had the competition on their minds. Chris’ jetsetting life has been tantalising for Sal – it’s a whole new world for him. Opposites really do attract!”

While their growing romance has been kept under wraps from the two groups, Sal’s cooking partner and bestie Lyn has reportedly given him her blessing.
“Lyn is happy if Sal is happy – they’re very supportive of each other,” says the source.
“Out of all the on-set hook-ups, theirs is the most likely to last.”

Speaking to TV WEEK, Sal opened up about coming out 10 years ago and took so long to do so because he was worried of what his children thought.
But the cheery South Australian, who separated from his wife in 2009, found he had the support of everyone he told in Port Pirie.
“People bought me flowers and presents,” he remembers. “I got text messages: ‘Oh, about time’, ‘That’s fantastic!’ and ‘We knew before you!'”

Sal says for him, coming out has been a “really, really happy story”.
“I guess all I need one day is that special guy in my life,” he says.
