Lyn and Sal may be one of the cutest My Kitchen Rules teams to have ever graced our screens and on Sunday night’s episode we were cheering with them when they won the Coles biscuit challenge.
The Port Pirie pair whipped up a batch of chocolate macadamia brownie cookies with a nut praline and strawberries and if your mouth is watering at the sound of it, you’re not alone.
Even judge Paleo Pete was keen to give it a go and confessed it was “fantastic” with fellow judge Colin Fassnidge agreeing that it was “everything you want in a brownie.”
“It was gooey, it was decadent, it was rich, it was addictive. What a great biscuit, so well done,” Pete told the pair.

Re-create Lyn and Sal’s brownie sandwich cookies
Ingredients
One pack of Lyn and Sal’s limited edition chocolate brownie cookies
250g white chocolate, chopped
200ml creme fraiche
1tbsp dark brown sugar
¼ tsp salt
Method
1.To make the caramel cream filling, stir all ingredients in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water until smooth and combined.
2.Remove from heat and refrigerate until cold.
3.Using an electric whisk, whisk mixture until light and fluffy.
4.Spread the filling on the side of one cookie and top with another to make a cookie sandwich! Serve with strawberries for a garnish like the original.

Lyn and Sal may be one of the most beloved teams, but for the third time running, they face elimination in their third Sudden Death cook-off against Victor and G.
However, they will have one big supporter in the form of former contestant Chris Rillo who reportedly struck up a secret on-set flirtfest and then a romance after the show with Sal.
“We found out we had so much in common…I’ve been to Pirie where we’ve cooked together and met their whole family,” Chris told The Advertiser.

Sal – who separated from his wife in 2009 – only came out 10 years ago because he was worried what his children would think. But fortunately, he found he had the support of everyone he told in Port Pirie.
“People bought me flowers and presents,” he told TV WEEK. “I got text messages: ‘Oh, about time’, ‘That’s fantastic!’ and ‘We knew before you!'”
