Fans of My Kitchen Rules were shocked to discover that controversial couple Steven and Frena called off their engagement and kept the split a secret for ages.
The Daily Telegraph revealed that Frena Yusof, 25, and Steven Budgen, 31, ended their relationship just weeks after shooting the show.
The formerly-engaged couple, who described themselves as โa chilled and laid back couple who love a good laughโ in promotional material for the show, were a divisive team in the first week of the competition, making waves with their strong opinions.
Frena is believed to be dating a new partner โ a writer, director and producer who is also called Steven.

Steven and Frena have reportedly called off their engagement.
(Image: Seven)Steven and Frena ruffled feathers following Sunday nightโs episode, with viewers accusing the couple of playing a strategic game.
The couple were sitting at the bottom of the leader board following a less than impressive instant restaurant, and fans are now accusing the couple of purposely giving low scores to other teams in an effort to save themselves from elimination.
On Sundayโs episode, NSW team Arrnott and Fuzz impressed the judges with their Fijian food, delivering strong scores across the board โ except with one team.
Whilst everyone else generally enjoyed the main dish, Frena and Steven were quick to call the dishes โboringโ and unbalanced.
Even self-confessed food snobs Mary and Kate labelled Steven and Frenaโs criticism โa bit harsh.โ
As dessert was served, it seemed as if a pattern was emerging, with everyone enjoying the traditional dessert โ except Steven and Frena.
And it seems viewers werenโt the only ones noticing โ as Frena began her critique, fan-fave Alice was heard saying โhere we goโ under her breath and looking less than impressed.
Alice doubled down on her views during a one-on-one interview, accusing Steven and Frena of โplaying a game and its not adding up.โ

Frena is said to be seeing someone new following her split from Steven.
(Image: Seven)Ashlee and Mat agreed with Aliceโs suspicions, noting that itโs โstrangeโ that the couple didnโt enjoy two dishes that everyone else thoroughly enjoyed.
The end of Sunday nightโs episode saw the judges and contestants give Fuzz and Arrnott scores ranging between 7 and 9, whilst Steven and Frena gave them a noticeably lower score of 5.
However, it seems as if their plans werenโt successful. Fuzz and Arnott ended the episode with a high score of 81 and Steven and Frena have remained at the bottom of the leaderboard.
