The former Married At First Sight couple shared the big news with a loved-up snap posted to Martha’s Instagram account, where she showed off her stunning ring.

She captioned the shot with just four letters, which spelled out “Mrs. B.”

Naturally, Martha followed up the post with a whole host of other snaps with her fiancé, all of them featuring her glittering rock front and centre.

Meanwhile, Michael shared a cute video of his future wife shining her phone light on the ring to watch it sparkle, captioning the clip: “I think she likes it…”

Now, three days after revealing he popped the question, Michael has shared a long and emotional update on his and Martha’s engagement and thanked friends, family and fans for all their support.

“Thank you so much for all your kind comments and messages! Unfortunately, it’s going to be impossible for us to get back to everyone, but just know we do appreciate it,” he penned alongside a photo of them kissing.

“It’s crazy to think we started our relationship on tv and many of you saw the first time we locked eyes on each other. Fast forward 3 years and so many people are still following our life journey, something we are truly grateful for.

“You have stuck with us through the hate, the rumours, the trolls and of course the good times! You’ve laughed with us and lived through our down moments, you’ve pushed us to do more and you’ve kept us accountable when needed.”

Michael went on to thank people who have defended his and Martha’s relationship online, as well as those who regularly share positivity in their comments sections and direct messages.

“We consider so many of you our virtual friends, even if we can’t always reply (we try our best I promise),” he added.

The former reality TV star said that he hoped he and Martha have been able to help their followers by providing a few laughs, as well as useful fitness and skincare tips from him and Martha respectively.

Michael then returned to their engagement, writing: “To sit down and read all the comments and see so many people happy for us is nothing short of amazing, it’s genuinely made our special moment that much better.”

He concluded by thanking everyone for their well-wishes and joking that fans can now “finally stop asking when we’re getting engaged” on social media, though he’s expecting plenty of questions about their wedding.

The gushing post was soon flooded with likes and comments, including plenty of replies from the couple’s famous friends.

Over on her own account, Martha shared a much shorter message but was just as grateful for all the love she and Michael had received.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, the bride-to-be wrote: “Your messages have made my day. I haven’t gotten back to everyone, but I want to send you all love.
