Episode six: “Hi, I’m Gnome and I’m bringing the magic to this competition. I do love a green and pleasant land, but I’m more of a city Gnome, it is my garden of earthly delights. This is where you will find my desires. Not every Gnome gets involved in politics, but I do know a lot about presidential voting! Don’t confuse me with a goblin, we only have the name in common and it makes me double boiling mad! Tonight the Gnome is coming on hot!”

Microphone

Episode five: “I’m Microphone and I’m here to bring some real glamour. I didn’t start in a place like this, in fact, I took quite a different path and doubted my own abilities but I eventually learned to believe in me. Microphones are meant for those special, uplifting moments. We know the dark times too, but you only see the purple patches. I believe you make your own future, but a bit of luck never hurts either! I was almost involved in a life of crime, and my parents would have been proud! I got two years, but thankfully I had the best lawyer money can buy.”

Episode seven: “I’m the Microphone but I haven’t always needed a microphone myself. I was not the first to do what I did, but I was the most successful. I needed to please others first to get my opportunity. There are great opportunities to be sought on my own. I never do what’s expected, why wait until the end of your career to do the thing you love? Climbing the ladder is tough, you have to fight for what you want. Get nasty, but not fierce! One, two three… you’re out! Will I win The Masked Singer? I say yes!”

Episode eight: “Are you dying to know who I am? Well, I’m not going to bare it all right now. Am I a triple threat? More of a double, really, but I’ll give anything a red hot go even if it’s wicked! I’m a believer in karma; right place, right time. You can’t go back and do the things you didn’t, no, no, no. I’m Microphone, and my goal is winning The Masked Singer!”

Episode nine: “This competition doesn’t scare me, I’ve outlasted others before, I know I have the heart for it. Despite what people say, I am not an only child! Hopes and prayers are great, I love ’em, but sometimes throwin’ a bit of cash at a problem can help too. Microphones are incredibly versatile. A lead singer uses one, so does a backup singer. A dancer? Not as much. I’m Microphone and I will outlast the others!”

Mirrorball

Episode one: ”I’m Mirrorball, I was born to do what I do and my parents knew it. But when the spotlight’s not on me, I don’t react. I’m proud and determined, close to grand in fact. Even when everything turns to ashes I go on unharmed. When you’re in the spotlight you can be grilled by total strangers, that’s something you can bank on. I am the Mirrorball and now is my time to shine.”

Episode three: “I’m the Mirrorball and I hate to be in the dark. Am I dirty? No, that’s someone else, so be cool okay? You don’t think I measure up? I think I do. I was on thin ice for a while, but eventually, you have to do you. As a kid, I was really competitive. As an adult, not everyone likes that but I’m sick of running someone else’s race. I’m Mirrorball and my voice will be heard!”

Episode five: “I’m Mirrorball and I shine every chance I get. I’m not married with children, that was before my time. Finding a good man was hard, I’ve looked everywhere. East and, yes, even west. Let me tell you, dating is no laughing matter. Let’s not dance around the issue, I was the odd one out for years. Am I on a vendetta? I’m not saying, I’m too sweet! I have my heroes, I followed their examples but did it all myself. Who can you rely on? Only your family and an Aussie. I’m Mirrorball and I’m not saying goodbye tonight!”

Episode seven: “When you’re a Mirrorball you like to shine out, well I do. I want to make myself loud and clear. I’m loved less in my own country and around the world and I don’t care what you think. They say too many cooks spoil the broth, but I like to stir the pot. Do I move like Jagger? You can be the judge, I’ll wait. I’m Mirrorball, and tonight I’m gonna dazzle you!”

Episode eight: “Love, it’s the hardest thing you’ll ever do. I just want someone to believe in me. There’s an image of me that I just can’t shake, but I’m a survivor. Well, not exactly a survivor, but close! Kinda bulletproof. I like to be cool, although the ice isn’t my friend. My upbringing was a lot hotter than that. My adulthood too! I’m Mirrorball and I’m radiant tonight.”

Episode nine: “Once upon a time you wouldn’t pick me in a line-up, that was my lowest time. I want to scream but who would hear me? I don’t have two wicked stepsisters, maybe one? And that’s why it’s hard keeping up with my friends. You think a Mirrorball lives a glamorous life, it might look that way but I’ve also had nothing. But that only lasted four weeks.”

Zombie

Episode one: ”I’m Zombie and my performances will live forever. I used to feel entitled but I’m not as green as I used to be… or as orange. Would you care for a baked potato? I’m a Zombie, I’m not wicked but I’m not magical either. I was once upon a time. I’m Zombie and I’d rather die than lose The Masked Singer.”

Episode three: “Zombies travel the entire world but mostly East-West. I had a life before being a Zombie, and another life after. Now, I’ve turned a page and all I want is brains, brains! Zombies love animals, but cats are too disappointing! There’s no shame in coming third, well that’s what I tell myself, but it came with a job that I would literally die for. I’m the Zombie and I’m going to eat the competition alive!”

Episode five: “I’m a Zombie but I don’t follow the pack, my teenage years were spent in the golden arches! Now, I have quite a few strings to my bow… yellow and black? I was saving that for myself! What I do is dangerous work, ill health seems to follow zombies wherever they go. I haven’t always had the drive, but I do know my place and my place isn’t doing this. I’m Zombie, and I’m ready for takeoff!”

Blowfly

Episode one: ”I’m Blowfly, you know there’s flys like me all over the world but I’m Aussie as. There’s nothing I like more than cruising in a big V8, or maybe a high-five. Blowflies know the highs and the lows. Those days of innocence are behind me and now I am the possessor of much wisdom. For a Blowfly, I don’t take crap from no one and that’s why I’ll win The Masked Singer.”

Episode three: “I’m Blowfly and you can find me all over Australia. I fought real hard to get to the top of my little hill, or am I king of the mountain? I’m never afraid to ask the tough questions, or to lend a hand to anyone who needs it. I know I can be loud, maybe a bit wild and it almost cost me family some important jewellery. I’ve spent my time in the sun, including some of my darkest days, but I am a phoenix. I’m the Blowfly and I’m buzzing to win The Masked Singer.”

Episode five: “I’m the Blowfly, and I’ve made a good start to the competition. They say home is where the heart is and maybe the hope, I just know that love will be rewarded fourfold. Is a motorscooter big enough? Not really! I like the power, turn on the gas. I’m Blowfly and I know a lot about records.”

Episode seven: “I’m Blowfly and I’ve delivered faster than any bloke in history. I’m not afraid of hard work, although I’ve never cleaned up before. I’ve got the drive, but I’ve been scarred by my celebrity, but that doesn’t scare me, just don’t call me spineless. Blowflies know how to move around, looking for the best life following the path of garlands. I’m Blowfly and I’m going to deliver again tonight!”

Episode eight: “Blowflies don’t hang around garbage dumps, that’s full of stuff from the past! You’ve gotta be in it to win it, but you don’t have to win it to do well. I’ve taken plenty of shots and heaps have paid off, like my mate Otis and Schindler. Life doesn’t take you where you think it will, but I’ve always been a risk taker! Some pay off, some not. Everyone needs a little help, but not me. I’m winning this trophy on me own!”

Rooster

Episode two: ”I am Rooster, and I’m cocky for a reason. Some people see me as untamed, I’m okay with that. Maybe that’s why I’m so close to doing all the dumb things. Family is important to me, privately and publicly, but I don’t like to do a big song and dance about it. As a child, I learned about attitude. It’s kept me out of the darkest places, except once: a place without a chandelier. I’m the Rooster and I’m the boss of this barnyard.”

Episode four: “I’m Rooster, and you can describe me as cocksure. What’s my pedigree? Funny, but it’s all the way back to Ancient Rome. I come from a short line of almost-royalty. I’m not a battery chook, I need freedom! I have a vision of seeing the whole world from the city, to the outback. I was discovered long after everyone knew me, knew me, knew me, knew me… I’m Rooster, and I’ve got plenty to crow about!”

Episode six: “As Rooster I never want to be a bore, I want to entertain whether it’s putting boot to leather or putting on a g-string. I love New York, if you can make it there you can also make it anywhere, even Alice Springs! If you move around as much as I do, I’d like to say welcome to wherever you are. Sometimes you just don’t measure up, all I know is I did it my way. I’m Rooster, and in this competition, it’s all about me!”

Episode seven: “As a Rooster I rule this roost, and there’s room for everyone. I’m so scandalous I should open a school, of course when I was at school I learned not to be a sickling. Most Roosters crow at daybreak however I do a lot of mine at night, but not by candlelight. As a Rooster, do I have rivals? Only in my family, and we know how untamed they are. I’m Rooster and I won’t be laying an egg tonight.”

Episode eight: “I am Rooster and when love speaks, I listen. Isn’t that romantic? I’m not afraid to make waves, I’ve made my share! I’m the Rooster with many strings to my bow… well four anyway, and I could drink to that. I’m still in this competition, and the Rooster is cock-a-hoop. I’m Rooster!”

Episode nine: “My past and future look different, but my reality was always the same. In life, I’ve never stopped trying new things. I’m always searching for the next challenge, the next big adventure. Here we are at number four, it’s a good number… not a great number, but there’ll be another home in the future. A big home!”

Thong

Episode one: ”I’m the Thong, I’m familiar, I’m comfortable and an Aussie icon with a background overseas. However, I’m better known for my work with M&M. I love a barbie, and I also like a banquet… not at this beach though. I hope it’s fish! I really love fish. Is a humble thong worthy of admiration? I think so and that’s why I’ll win The Masked Singer!”

Episode three: “I’m Thong, and I’m elastic like rubber! Nobody notices Thongs, that’s fine by me! It worked in my favour big time! That looks tender. My childhood dreams faded, but art can imitate life. I love this car! It’s ageless and doesn’t need to spend much time in the garage. I’m a cleanskin now, but I wasn’t always. I’m Thong, and I will be champion again!”

Tiger

Episode two: ”I’m the Tiger, beautiful but powerful and dangerous. Although I am a Tiger, I do have links to lions. Either way, I love nature. The thunder doesn’t scare me, I just block it from my mind. But I do prefer the sun. I’m comfortable in the jungle, or even a nature strip. I am the Tiger, and I will tear this competition apart.”

Episode four: “I am Tiger, and no one will cur my appeal. Am I manly? I have been most of my life, especially 2003. I’ve often been the front but just as much time in the back and I have had my success in Sydney, Melbourne, Tokyo, London and Singapore… and in the desert too. I’m the Tiger, and I’m ready to roar!”

Snapdragon

Episode two: ”I’m Snapdragon and I’ve got the looks and the bite. Snapdragons may not breathe fire, but we are determined. The world of flowers is tough, we compete for our time in the sun but even then, you don’t really see me as I am. That’s why some people call me mysterious. I’m Snapdragon, and it’s time for me to blossom.”

Episode four: “When my voice is heard people don’t say ‘shh’ but that doesn’t mean I’m not adventurous. Travelling the seas doesn’t scare this Snapdragon. Snapdragons can be found across most of the world, we’re universal. I’ve been transplanted from my original home, but I’m never far from my father. Maybe you think all Snapdragons are the same, we’re not. But I owe a lot to another flower. Maybe we share the same roots? I’m Snapdragon, and I’m the bloomin’ best Masked Singer.”

Episode six: “I’m Snapdragon and I’m in my element in the Masked Singer. Although I might feel like a babushka doll. As a Snapdragon, you never know what you’ll be asked to do. One day the public showers you with love and the next you’re heading for a downfall. Ow! Snapdragons come in all colours of the rainbow. My childhood was quite golden. I’m Snapdragon, and I’m a natural to win The Masked Singer!“

Episode seven: “I’m Snapdragon, Snapdragons aren’t really from any one nation but I do have a fondness for a certain member of royalty. We do have something in common. I have travelled the world but was too late for the winter Olympics, they ski differently where I grew up. Is that you, Madii? Great mask! Snapdragons know life is a chance, you have to be in it to win it. You do what you have to do to get your face out there… or not. I’m Snapdragon and by George, I’m going to win The Masked Singer!”

Episode eight: “I’m Snapdragon, I have never disguised my ambition. I could be the new prince! Seventh time lucky, I say. I draw on my family’s love for my success, not even the local pastors really know the young me. They say Snapdragons like rocky ground, but does it have to be this rocky? I’m Snapdragon and this is my time and place to blossom.”

Episode nine: “I have friends in high places. There are so many varieties of Snapdragons, 52 at last count, but they don’t all look like me. I could tell you it’s all politics. Gold is hard to come by, it was easier 16 years ago. I’m Snapdragon, and the mask isn’t coming off tonight!”

Caterpillar

Episode two: ”I’m the Caterpillar but I see myself as a butterfly. You can find caterpillars everywhere, from coast to jungle. My empire is far and wide. I’ve travelled the world without travelling far at all. You can find me on the road and even in the air, I’m always on the move. I’ve been a scholar, I’ve also been a world champion, but not what you think. And did you know Caterpillars can jump? I’m Caterpillar and I will take the trophy home with me!”

Popcorn

Episode two: ”Hi, I’m Popcorn, let’s have some fun! I went from nothing to huge in the blink of an eye, or that’s how it seems to you but there’s a lot of work in being an overnight success. Wikipedia says Popcorn’s ancestors come from Mexico, I don’t think that’s true but maybe it is because I’ve been in a lot of places. It’s hard to know where home is, if I got stuck on a desert island who would I want to be with? Kylie of course, and Lady Gaga. I’m Popcorn, and I’m here to have fun!”

Episode four: “When you’re a Popcorn, you’ve got to have the moves. Am I an American boy? Let me spell it out for you: I’m welcome everywhere and I want everyone to feel welcome wherever they are. Am I stylish? Others think so, but sometimes it ends super badly when I hang out with the fashionistas… even bloody! Ow. Do I stick my nose in other people’s business? Of course I do, it’s a bit of an obsession. I’m Popcorn and I’m ready to go off!”

Episode six: “Am I spiritual? A lot of my class are, but don’t think I’m a cleanskin, I use a lot of ink. I started young, well younger than most but not my hero. That’s when I went from being a Maltser to Popcorn! The people of Europe love Popcorn, Northern Europe especially, even if it makes them a bit phlegm-ish! I’m Popcorn, and I’ll get salty if I don’t win this competition!”

Episode seven: “Life can take a Popcorn through some weird twists and turns. As we say in our family, the popcorn doesn’t fall far from the kernel, but science is some kind of voodoo. I give my words to famous people, and after they leave me they’re changed for the better! This paradise is my happy place, I always return here and I love to dance. Dancing has taken me all around the world. I’m Popcorn and I’m hot enough to pop!”

Knight

Episode one: ”I am the Knight, the closest that Australia has to true royalty. I am a Knight but I prefer the evening. To get where I am I had to fight my way through, travel to true respect. This is my trusty steed, far happier to see me now than in the past. I like it more than horseless carriages. Easy there lightning, I have other plans. I wouldn’t say I was unforgettable but I am more often forgotten than not. Still, the good people of Switzerland almost sent me flowers, golden ones, but I prefer deep purple. I am the Knight but I shall be the little king of Masked Singer.”
