Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli forced to cut Europe trip short following health scare

Married At First Sight favourites Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli have been forced to cut their European adventure short due to the former’s ill health.

Taking to her Instagram stories yesterday, the influencer explained her recent absence from the platform.

“Hi everyone, I know I’ve been quiet on here,” the former reality star started the post.

“I’ve been bedridden for a few weeks, but I’m finally home and getting the care I need.”

Martha gave her fans a health update.

She went on to say that she will be back in action soon.

“Thanks for all the messages. Sorry I haven’t gotten back to anyone,” the Celebrity Apprentice alum continued.

“I really do appreciate the support though!”

Meanwhile, her fiancé Michael Brunelli also shared an update to his own Instagram.

“Cut our trip short, but that’s life… ⬇️⁣,” Michael wrote.

“Martha is going to be OK!” Michael wrote.

The pair had been travelling around Europe. But while Michael visited France’s Eiffel Tower and Louvre Museum, Martha was stuck in bed.

“So we came back a month early, to be around family and more comfortable at home. ⁣

“Was it the ideal way to end our trip? No. ⁣

“But we had an amazing 3 months overseas, experiencing different cultures, relaxing, having fun and seeing friends! ⁣

“Something we are both truly appreciative and grateful for!”

The MAFS alum added that he and Martha are remaining optimistic despite the setback.

“Health is the priority above all else and that’s what lead us home. ⁣

“Just for the record, I promise those of you that are concerned, Martha is going to be OK!

“We both appreciate all the messages of support and the well wishes. I’m sorry I didn’t get back to all of those that DM’d us, but just know your messages were seen and valued. ❤️⁣,” he continued, adding that his fiancée will “be back online soon”.

⁣”For now, we’re just acclimating back to this beautiful winter weather… 😂🥶⁣ … and waiting for our 60kg of winter clothes to arrive on a ship from Europe!”

The last photo Martha shared was two weeks ago from Ramatuelle – a commune in France.

“So sorry to hear Martha is not well. Wishing her a speedy recovery ❤️,” another added.
