If you tuned into Married At First Sight on Wednesday night, you undoubtedly saw the most awkward wedding yet between Ning and Mark.
Between Ning’s declaration that she’s “just here for the food and the drinks” and her awkward jokes, there were times when it was hard to watch.
Viewers took to Twitter to air their thoughts on this controversial bride but despite the negative reactions from the trolls, it’s clear that there are people out there supporting the 32 year-old hairdresser after she admitted she has trust and abandonment issues.
“This is mean. It’s so obvious that Ning isn’t ready for this. She needs to go home and sort out her own issues #MAFS,” one person tweeted.
Another penned, “I’m rooting for Ning. She hides behind her jokes.. she needs love.”
“Ning and Mark were such a risky couple but I think their love will blossom,” one optimistic tweeter wrote.
Others supported her by saying that she needs someone to help her with her mental health with one Twitter user writing, “Ning isn’t in need of a husband, she needs a psychiatrist.”
Even Mark instantly recognised she was nervous and uncomfortable when they first met at the altar.

Mum of three Ning, may have a cutting, brutal sense of humour, but considering her past, it makes sense.
Ning was left in her home country of Thailand with her grandmother by her mother and confessed she no longer wants to feel that sense of being abandoned.
“It’s one of those things that you can’t let go. All these years I’ve just been burying my past and sometimes the past comes and bites you.”
“I think I have a lot of love to give,” she added. “I give every piece of my heart to all my friends, I’ve always got love. There’s no point living if you don’t have love to share with people and I just want someone to share that love with me.”

Speaking on the Married At First Sight‘s follow-up show Talking Married, Ning said that part of the reason for her icy demeanour was the weather.
“Marrying this complete stranger. It was 12 degrees at the time. And you know, in Townsville, 25 degrees, I need to wear a cardigan.”
Ning also confessed that she suffered from “verbal diarrhoea” during the ceremony and that she can’t help it when she’s nervous.
“I don’t actually think before I speak, whereas Mark does,” she added.
Mark also defended his bride to the panel saying, “For her entire life, Ning has just put everybody first.”
“The more I got to know about Ning, that’s a massive part of her life, and that’s was what was missing at the wedding.”
