Since Dan Webb and Jessika Power embarked on a secret affair in Married At First Sight, viewers have been left wondering how their partners would react when the news was finally revealed.
When the controversial couple aired their affair to the group in Sunday night’s commitment ceremony, both Tamara Joy and Mick Gould were left in tears by the deception.
“So you wrote stay because you ‘wanted to try to make it work with me’ but really you just wanted to hang out with Jess so you’re a liar,” Tamara said, confronting Dan in Sunday night’s episode.
“If that’s how you felt, speak to me about it. If we’re so-called friends, speak to me about it,” she said.
“And I have had your back and you’ve s–t all over me,” she continued, turning to Jess.
Tamara and Dan had it out in Sunday night’s episode.
So how is the relationship between Tamara and Dan now, months after the episode was filmed? Well, Tamara tells TV WEEK that they have been in contact.
“Yeah, Dan has reached out to me,” Tamara reveals to TV WEEK. “Telling me how much of a beautiful person I am.”
Though the lines of communication are open it’s unclear if Tamara has forgiven Dan for lying to her, even though she admits she wasn’t surprised or shocked by their big reveal.
“People do not surprise me! I’ll be honest the behaviour is not that surprising now that I’m watching back… you kind of get an idea of people’s characters straight away,” she says.
“So I can’t sit here and say I was surprised or shocked,” she continues, before admitting that “Watching the series back is full-on.”
Tamara admits it’s difficult to watch the series back.
Married At First Sight airs Monday to Wednesday, 7:30pm, and Sunday, 7pm, on Nine.
