The beauty and the incredibly awkward was paired on Married At First Sight Australia 2023, and we are absolutely loving it!
Rupert was shocked by his bride, Evelyn’s beauty to the point where he was too stunned to speak. While he was nervous before the ceremony, the groom really began sweating and turning bright red as he stood by Evelyn’s side.
“Your very beautiful.”

When it came time for the rings, poor Rupert struggled to find his wife-to-be’s ring!

“At least I’ve got mine,” he said.
Evelyn responded: “That’s good you can marry yourself.”
She was rightfully confused by her new husband and failed to encourage him to speak up more and ask questions. Rupert later revealed he was intimidated by her beauty and was scared to be himself.
It wasn’t love at first sight for Evelyn.

He was truly “lost for words” as the pair got into the bath together during their honeymoon.
While she found him attractive, Evelyn wasn’t sure if he felt the same or if he was ready for the experiment. As awkward as the hug was during intimacy week on the experiment, it was adorable.
And Evelyn has she continued to encourage Rupert out of his shell and overtime the couple have become to grow closer.
“It was not love at first sight,” she said.
After being intruders in the MAFS experiment, the pair managed to relatively stay out of the drama until Rupert accidently butt-dialed Evelyn when she overheard some rude comments from Hugo and Dan regarding their own wives.
Given how close Evelyn had become with Sandy, who is wed to Dan, she felt obligated to reveal the truth.
“[Dan] was insinuating that he was too good for this experiment and too good for you,” Evelyn said. “He was showing all the boys photos of his ex-girlfriend, boasting about how hot his ex-girlfriends were.”
Evelyn has no plans of holding back at the dinner party either! although Rupert felt like “a rat” he supported Evelyn’s decision.
And during the dinner party, the young bride refused to back down as Hugo and Dan denied the allegations.
