Every year as Married At First Sight kicks off again, viewers wait with bated breath to see which brides have been paired with which grooms.
And while sometimes, the pairings are a match made in MAFS heaven, more often than not, the combinations of contestants couldn’t be more incompatible.
While we’re only one episode in to what is already shaping up to be an explosive season, one marriage that looks like it’ll go the distance, and one that we predict will end in disaster.
Take a look at the Married at First Sight season nine couples below.

Mitch and Ella
Mitch and Ella oozed chemistry and sexual attraction upon meeting each other – and their wedding night went off without a hitch.
“We’re definitely vibing, 100 per cent, and we’re getting along,” Mitch gleefully said of his budding connection with the beautician.
“She’s gorgeous, she’s stunning, she’s beautiful, she’s everything. I didn’t really think that the experts had it in them to be completely honest but they proved me wrong.”
Ella initially had doubts that Mitch would be interested in her, but she eventually overcame her nerves and admitted she wanted to “jump his bones”.
The genetically-blessed couple then headed back to their hotel room and shared a passionate kiss before turning in for the night.
Jack and Domenica
Now here’s a couple who looks like they might actually have a shot of working in the real world.
Jack and Domenica instantly hit it off after meeting at the altar and discovering that they both share Italian heritage and strong family values.
“I can definitely feel that there’s something there. I’ve landed a great guy… Today is everything I hoped and wished for,”
Domenica said, while Jack beamed that he was “stoked” with his new wife.
Domenica became anxious over revealing to Jack that she got divorced 18 months earlier, but he couldn’t have been more understanding.
“I don’t see anything negative about any of that,” Jack told Domenica, assuring his new wife that he wasn’t judging her. Aww!
First look at MAFS 2022
Tamara and Brent
Tamara and Brent got off to a rocky start after meeting at the alter for the first time.
When Tamara, a “career-driven” operations manager, discovered Brent was working at a nightclub, she admitted to “judging” his job title.
Their wedding then got even more awkward when the pair became embroiled in a heated discussion over career aspirations, with Tamara saying she wants an “ambitious” man.
It’s only early days, but it seems Brent and Tamara will continue to butt heads. Bring on the rest of the experiment!
Selin and Anthony
Judging by their wedding, Selin and Anthony have all the makings of being MAFS‘ new Jules and Cam.
Selin, 32, went on the experiment in the hopes of finding a man who could be a great role model for her son Roman – and she couldn’t have been happier with her match.
Anthony, a 38-year-old single father, and Selin bonded immediately over their love for their kids.
“I must have died and gone to heaven,” Anthony said upon seeing his bride. “I can’t take my eyes off her.”
We can’t wait to see where their wholesome love story goes!
