It seems like only yesterday when we were watching Cam Merchant and Jules Robinson meet at the altar, but now it’s time to get excited for the new series of Married At First Sight.
Channel Nine have dropped the first look at the new season for 2020 and we’re torn between excitement and confusion at the artsy trailer that you can watch in the player above.

In the clip, eight of the show’s brides and grooms are introduced along with a few other faces.
Of those named, we meet Mishel, Connie, Aleksandra, Mikey, Poppy, David, Tash and Chris, all of whom walk mysteriously through a forest until they reach the “Tunnel of Love”.
Once inside the tunnel, one couple is shown kissing before being levitated off the ground and breaking through the roof into the night sky.
And it seems we weren’t the only ones left scratching our heads by the end of the trailer.
The trailer’s quirky premise left some fans confused.

“New #mafs commercial is a bit much #MarriedAtFirstSight,” another simply wrote.
Another remarked that “the ad is so dramatic – also hope the people cramming their tongues down each other’s throats are actually matched on the show and not just the ad… or is it a preview of another swap.”
One person we know will be in the cast this year for a second shot at love is last season’s Elizabeth Sobinoff.
A source told Woman’s Day that Lizzie was seen arriving on set during filming in October and appeared at a dinner already “married” and accompanied by her “groom” as an intruder bride.

The blonde bombshell became our unlikely feminist hero when she slammed her MAFS groom Sam Ball after learning he criticised her weight and body shape.
“As women, it’s a hard enough time in this life, OK. It’s is a hard enough time,” she said in the season finale.
“We get so much thrown at us. We have men sitting there going, ‘Well yeah, you have to be this way, you have to look that way’, otherwise, you know – I don’t want a bar of it.
“We are expected to look a certain way because of men like that.”
