Last week, it was revealed that Locklan “Locky” Gilbert would be the next Bachelor to don the famous suit and tie, but the Bachelorette girls better watch out if our Survivor insiders are to be believed!

A source has told Woman’s Day that the muscular 30-year-old tradie has a wild side and is no stranger to throwing a wobbly when he doesn’t get his own way.

According to the insider, Locky had his moments during his stint on Ten’s Survivor: All Stars, with his temper leading to a potentially dangerous incident that nearly ended his time on the show.

“Locky was making a bed out of bamboo and one of the producers asked him to go out to the beach and talk to another contestant because they only had one cameraman there at the time and needed everyone to be in the same spot,” says the source.

“It was a standard producer direction, yet he completely cracked it – because he doesn’t like being told what to do and likes to do everything on his terms – so he slammed a machete down in the sand and yelled at the producer.

“Producers definitely toyed with throwing Locky off the show!” says the insider, who reveals they decided to let him stay.

“[However] they gave him a stern reminder that Survivor was a family-friendly show and that his hothead behaviour wouldn’t be tolerated.”

“I really want to find love. I’m pretty content with my life at the moment. I go on crazy adventures, but I’m doing it all by myself,” Locky said in a statement released by Ten.

“I’ve got best friends, but I want to find that one best friend that I can spend the rest of my life with. This is an amazing opportunity to hopefully find someone special at the end.”

Locky was announced as the new Bachelor shortly after his Survivor elimination.
