The two had previously had a very public feud where Keira said she’d never be “desperate” enough to date him – which led to Michael blocking her on Twitter.
“I thought he was the biggest douchelord of all time, but when I gave him the time of day I was like, ‘You’re a really cool guy,'” she tells OK! of her Bachelor in Paradise co-star.
“I should be the first person not to make assumptions about someone.”
Keira, 31, is also hoping to clean up her own reputation after being labelled the villain of the 2016 season of The Bachelor.
“It’s a different environment! I really let my walls down in Paradise,” she explains.
“The thing for me was to allow myself to be vulnerable. In the past I’ve looked at that as a weakness, but I’m learning as I get older that it’s OK.”
Keira also had to mend her relationship with former bestie Lisa Hyde.
“We weren’t talking before we went in,” Keira admits.
“It was initially awkward, but we ended up sorting it out. It wasn’t over anything in particular, we just weren’t talking. We mostly get along – even if we’re not liking each other at the time, we sort it out.”
But Keira admits she had other struggles in Paradise.
“I had Fiji belly the whole time. I don’t know if I lost weight – but I felt good in a bikini. Every morning I’d go paddleboarding. And all I was drinking was mango daiquiris. I couldn’t eat anything else, so that’s all I lived off. That was my island diet!”
