Being separated from your family is one of the hardest parts of signing up for I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!.
But when we asked new jungle intruder Katherine Kelly Lang if she’ll miss her on-screen family from The Bold And The Beautiful, the answer was surprising.
“No,” Katherine, 57, tells TV WEEK. “That sounds mean, but it’s because we spend so much time together. [Laughs] Sometimes I feel like I spend more time with the cast than with my own family!”

The actress, best known for playing Brooke Logan on the iconic soap, is excited to spend some time away from set.
“It’s good to have breaks from them,” Katherine says. “It’ll be a sort of holiday.”
Facing the Bushtucker Trials and camping out in the African jungle is no holiday, but the mother-of-three remains undeterred. In fact, she’s been in negotiations to join the show for a while.
“We’ve been talking to the production for years now,” the actress reveals. “And it finally worked, with The Bold And The Beautiful letting me out for some time to go and do it.
“One of the main reasons [for doing the show] was the opportunity to win, hopefully, the grand prize for my charity.”

Katherine’s chosen charity is Breakaway From Cancer, an organisation that’s close to her heart. Having lost her father to cancer at just 13, as well as three of her grandparents, she says her family struggled to find the help they needed at the time.
“I never understood when my dad died,” she says.
“It happened fast and we found out too late. There wasn’t much we could do, but it seemed like nobody could do anything to help.
“That was really frustrating.”
