Married at First Sight star Jo Todd has revealed she was sacked from her barber job for refusing to get the COVID-19 jab.
The hairdresser, who was unsuccessfully “married” to James Susler on the latest season, announced the news in an Instagram video on Thursday, revealing she’d been let go by the salon in Victoria.
“I’m just letting you know that I wont be going back to that shop anymore,” she said in the clip captioned: “Let’s be kind”.
“I never thought that I would lose my job over a vaccine, but the positive thing is I’ve set up my own barber space.”
The mother-of-three said she misses her old clients and urged anyone who was in need of a trim to contact her.
“So anyone that I used to cut or anyone who isn’t getting the vaccine, please hit me up. I’d be happy to cut your hair,” she said.
“The new rules are that you aren’t allowed to go to a barber shop without being vaccinated. I’m happy to take the vaccinated or the unvaccinated.”
The reality star bride has previously admitted that she was disappointed to be matched with James during her MAFS stint earlier this year.
“At the back of your mind, you know it’s a reality TV show, but I really thought I could meet someone who would want to fit into my life and compromise on things,” she said.
“I don’t think he likes to be told by a woman. It wasn’t worth leaving my boys to be with someone like him.”
