In the last dumping before the Love Island finale, we saw Jessie and Todd exit the Villa.
As one of the original contestants, the blonde bombshell from Tasmania struggled to find that special spark with someone but found her Mr Right at the eleventh hour.
Here she speaks exclusively to Now To Love about why she doesn’t regret exploring connections and locking lips with various boys plus, why she wishes she hadn’t felt the need to get a boob job in her younger years.
Now To Love: You had a good run in the Villa, but were you expecting you and Todd to be the ones voted out?
Jessie: Yes and no. The previous night, Todd and I were already in the lowest couples so it was expected in that regard. And as well we didn’t have time to show Australia how much we liked each other but at the same time we’re happy with it, we got to go together.

You guys seem so cute together, will you be giving long distance a shot?
Yeah, for sure. We’ve already had a few discussions about if I moved to Melbourne and he even said he’d move to Tassie if need be, we’re invested and committed. From the moment I met Todd, I could tell that there was something there. We get along so well and our lives align so well, it’s a walk in the park for us. When you find the right person, it all works so easy. It’s so weird, I was so against that instant spark but when you know you know.
They may not have won the show, but Jessie and Todd are all loved-up even after leaving the Villa.
(Image: Nine Network)It took a while for you to find that special spark with someone and some people were saying that because you hooked up with quite a few of the guys you weren’t on the show for the right reasons, What would you say about that?
I can definitely understand why people would think that. I put myself in a position to be judged like that but at the same time I came on Love Island to find love and a relationship. If I didn’t talk to anyone, if I didn’t get out of my comfort zone, I wouldn’t have been there so I had to try new things. I saw what worked, I saw what didn’t and then eventually Mr Right walked through the door and I can’t really help that he walked through towards the end but it is what it is and I’m very happy now.
Do you think girls get slammed for this stuff more than the guys?
Yeah, it is a bit tough. You never going to know what you want if you don’t try multiple things, like you have to put yourself out there and get out of your comfort zone. Yes it really sucks how things panned out, I was really upset as well but I’ve learned so much from it. I can’t sit here and dwell on it, I have to just move forward and make sure that I do things right with Todd now.

You and Cynthia seemed to have a really cute friendship in the Villa too, so will you stay in contact with her?
Yeah little Cynthia! From the start, we just came together as friends. I remember I was sitting on the couch saying ‘No, I’m not meant to be here,’ and she honestly whipped me into line. We’d have pep talks because there were times when we’d both say ‘I don’t know if this is right, this is too hard,’ but then we’d sit there and go ‘No! We came to Love Island to find love, we’re going to get out there, we’re going to talk to people, we’ve got this!’ So it was really good to have someone there to pump you up and it was really good to have someone there the whole journey and someone who understood how I felt and wouldn’t judge.
She and Aaron seem pretty cute together so are you backing them for the win?
In all honesty, I don’t mind who wins- I just hope that everyone comes out happy! I don’t want any of my friends to get hurt and I want everyone to find what they’re looking for. I honestly think if you come out in a happy relationship, we’re all winners.

(Image: Nine Network)There have been a few rumours floating around that Aaron isn’t as genuine as he seems. What do you think of that as Cynthia’s friend?
It’s really difficult to comment on that because I do love Cynthia and I do love Aaron. I’m so happy for Cynthia that I really want to support her and what she sees so I’m not going to be a big cloud and rain on her parade. But at the same time, it is a bit of a Love Island bubble in there. Time goes very fast when you’re in the Villa and you get 24 hours to be around someone. If you want love, you can try and make it work so who knows how they’ll go on the outside, I guess only time will tell.
You were all living on top of each other as well, was there anyone in there who was tough to live with?
It was actually pretty smooth sailing. I found everyone was really great but you know things were messy, some of the boys farted a lot but I had no trouble with anyone.

(Image: Nine Network)You’ve also spoken about your plastic surgery procedures openly. Is it true that you regret your boob job?
Yes and no, I do regret the fact that I felt like I needed to get it done. I just wish that I could turn back time and tell young Jessie and say it’s ok to be the way you are but I can’t and I’ve learned and I have big boobs now and that’s how it is. I wouldn’t want anyone else to feel like they had to get the same procedure done, I wouldn’t encourage anyone else to go out and get the same procedure done but at the same time it is what it is and it’s happened.
I was quite young, I was 19 or 20 and I just snuck off and got it done. I was quite insecure at that stage and felt like what I had wasn’t ok which makes me really sad to look back on. But I’ve learned to love myself and I’ve realised that you can change whatever you like but if you don’t feel good about yourself, no plastic surgeon is going to be able to amend that and that’s something you need to work on from within.

No quite two trolleys, I think it was my standard 30 kilos! I know where that story would have come from though. I used to live in Melbourne and I couldn’t take all my luggage back to Tassie so I had it in storage so my sister and I went on a little mission to get it. I could’ve easily taken two trolleys if the airline would’ve allowed me!
