Fans of the Australian Bachelor franchise have spotted a familiar face in the newest trailers for Brooke Blurton’s season of The Bachelorette.
One of the first female contestants revealed to be on the show is none other than Jamie-Lee Dayz, who starred alongside Brooke on Nick Cummins’ season of The Bachelor.
But who is Jamie-Lee, what do we know about her, and did she have a connection with Brooke on Nick Cummins’ season?
It’s time to do some digging and answer all of those burning questions.
Who is Jamie-Lee Dayz?
The 30-year-old first appeared with Brooke on the 2018 season of The Bachelor, where both women were vying for Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins’ affections.
Jamie-Lee arrived as an “intruder” alongside Bachelor In Paradise star Brittney Weldon, who attracted plenty of attention when she arrived.
She went on a few dates with Nick before she was eliminated, but during her time in the house Jamie-Lee struck up a friendship with Brooke.
In fact, the 30-year-old went on to tell New Idea that she believed Brooke would win the season but as we now know, Brooke walked out and Nick chose no one.
After the season aired, Jamie-Lee got back together with an ex-girlfriend, however the relationship didn’t last.
What has Jamie-Lee said about her sexuality?
Jamie-Lee has been open about having relationships with both men and women, but doesn’t like to label her sexuality.
In an exclusive interview with Now To Love in 2018, Jamie-Lee said: “It’s who I am, it doesn’t change my personality.

(Ten)“I’ve dated women before and I’ve dated men. For me, it’s the most normal thing in the world and I don’t need to tell someone that.”
She also told the Sydney Morning Herald: “I don’t connect with people for their gender, I connect with people on a spiritual and soul level.
“For me it comes down to connection and who I connect with on a deep level. I don’t like to put myself into a category of bisexual, I don’t put myself in any category.”
Does Jamie-Lee have history with Brooke?
In a word? Yes. There was speculation that there was something more than friendship between Brooke and Jamie-Lee while they were in the Bachelor mansion together in 2018.
Both women denied the rumours after Nick Cummins’ season aired, with Jamie-Lee telling Now To Love: “Brooke is an amazing person, she and I are great friends.
“I actually am a little disappointed that all of these rumours have come out.
“The assumption that every bisexual person must be together…I think that’s such a backwards assumption.”
Brooke and Jamie-Lee struck up a friendship on the 2018 season.
(Ten)Meanwhile, Brooke told OK! Magazine: “We developed a really great friendship, but there’s definitely no sexual relationship there. I was there for Nick and that was my focus.”
However, it seems that there might have been more to their relationship – at least for Jamie-Lee.
In a new teaser clip from the upcoming season of The Bachelorette, she admits she’s always felt something for Brooke and wants to finally explore that.
“Brooke and I spent a lot of time together in the house. We just clicked,” she says.
“But I think it was as more than friends. For three years, I have wondered if it was just one sided. Now I have a second chance with Brooke.”
Does Brooke know Jamie-Lee will be returning for her season?
According to the 30-year-old, Brooke has no idea that she will be returning as a contestant on the new season of The Bachelorette.
“She has no idea I am here or what I have to say. I feel like I am really putting myself out there,” Jamie-Lee said in a new teaser.
“Maybe she just sees me as a friend. I don’t know how she’s going to react.”
Jamie-Lee says Brooke has “no idea” she’ll be on the show.
(Ten)Brooke’s season will mark the first time the Australian franchise has ever had men and women in the mansion together.
Jamie-Lee will be joined by a number of other single guys and girls all vying for Brooke’s heart, and some of them may be aware of Jamie-Lee’s history with Brooke.
The Bachelorette 2021 premieres on October 20 on 10 and 10 Play on Demand.
