After controversial tennis champion Bernard Tomic quit I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! last night, we can now expect a few more stars to enter the jungle to fill the void – but they won’t be tennis players.
“We’re not going to replace him [Bernard] because you can’t just replace like for like. We’re not going to find another tennis player,’ Channel Ten executive Stephen Tate explained.
“We’ve actually got a few more surprises coming,” he told KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O.
‘We’ve got a couple more internationals coming. [We’re] spoilt for choice with celebrities this year. We’ve got an amazing cast.”
“What we have coming is people who are coming from completely different worlds of celebrity. We have a couple of people coming and I won’t say too much but they’ll give the celebrities that we’ve got a run for their money to win.”

So, who could the new celebs be?
While they may not be ‘international’, The Bachelor Australia couple Matty Johnson and Laura Byrne has sent tongues wagging as Matty posted an Instagram story yesterday of the two of them in a plane heading to South Africa, the destination where the reality show is filmed.
Another rumoured contestant is boxer Danny Green – a rival of Anthony Mundine. This would certainly match I’m A Celebrity‘s clue last year about ‘two Aussie icons in the middle of Australia’s biggest feud’.
