They appear to be Married At First Sight’s most suited couple. But when it comes to Sarah and Telv’s blossoming romance, all is not as it seems.
This week, the couple’s relationship is pushed to its very limits when the pair face off in a heated argument no-one saw coming. Not even the producers.
“Up until this point, we were the couple that were enjoying each other’s company,” Sarah points out. “There had been nothing major go wrong.
“We were both very invested and if any issues did arise, I told myself I was there for a reason.”
While TV WEEK can’t reveal exactly why Sarah and Telv end up in a war of words, Sarah admits there’s a different side to Telv that Australia is yet to see.
“I’m very loyal and I like to think of myself as a very reasonable person,” Sarah, 38, declares.
Her comments come after Telv pushes her buttons this week, leaving her to question where she stands.
“When you’ve been through real heartache, you remember things and the rose-coloured glasses come off,” she says.
“I listen to my intuition a lot more these days. If something feels uneasy, I’m inclined to say something.”
Telv admits there are several reasons he and Sarah started to drift apart. The pressure of not being able to talk to his two children was one. In fact, it almost saw him dump “wife” Sarah for good during the early stages of filming.
“The first two weeks were hard,” the 33-year-old reveals.
Telv explains that he missed his children as he wasn’t able to see them or talk to them while filming MAFS.
“Normally, every day I call my kids,” the single dad says.
Telv reveals that despite his strong feelings for Sarah, he contemplated quitting the show for the sake of his relationship with his children.
“I was kind of wanting to give up and go home,” he admits.
