Sound the alarm! Our first intruder is heading in to the South African jungle on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.
Channel 10 has just confirmed that an ex Footy Show host will be swinging in to camp, in an episode set to air on Monday night. How will our campmates – namely, head honcho Jacqui Lambie – respond to the new arrival? Only time will tell!
In the meantime, we’re getting busy trying to figure out which former Footy Show star will be taking on I’m A Celeb.
First of all, the Instagram post didn’t clarify whether it’s a former host of The NRL Footy Show or The AFL Footy Show – so there are a lot of options to consider.
Our first pick would, of course, be the legendary Paul “Fatty” Vautin, who hosted The NRL Footy Show from 1994 to 2017.
Another option would be Beau Ryan, who has just joined the Channel 10 family as a part of Chris & Julia’s Sunday Night Takeaway.
Another legendary host who could be seen in the I’m A Celeb akubra is John “Sam” Newman, who hosted The AFL Footy Show from 1994 to 2018.
Known for sticking to his guns – and having LOTS of opininons – Sam could really bring an extra spark to the tension between some of our feistier contestants.
We could see a peak in girl power in the camp, if Rebecca Madern (AFL) or Erin Molan (NRL) took on the show.
Both women have beautiful newborn babies, however, so we’re not sure how they would feel about leaving the bubs at home to go take on terrifying challenges in a jungle. They’ll probably give it a miss, hey?
We can’t wait to find out which former Footy Show star will be shaking things up in the jungle!
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! airs Sunday to Thursday, 7:30pm, on 10.
