There must be something in the water over at Channel Seven’s renovation reality show, House Rules.
Within 24 hours of one another, season seven’s Katie and Alex and season six’s Jared and Jessica announced they have babies on the way.

(Image: Instagram)“Soooo… we know some of you have been wondering where we’ve disappeared to the past couple of months, and we are SO excited that we can finally share!” Katie and Alex wrote on their joint House Rules Instagram account.
“B A B Y # 2 is joining us this Winter! Now despite the makeup and smiles, it’s safe to say this has not been a walk in the park for us but we will talk more about this soon. For now we are insanely grateful that this little one seems to be growing just beautifully!! ❤”

Meanwhile, Jared Petrenko and his partner Jessica Dover had happy news of their own to share.
The couple shared a photo of themselves holding up an ultrasound to announce the pregnancy to their followers.
“So ready for this next journey with you darling! Baby Petrenko due July 2020,” wrote Jess.
Jared added: “Life is about to change forever and we could not be happier @jessicadover .. See you in July little one.”
Jess and Jared are also expecting a a visit from the stork.

“Love the post!!! What a great announcement. So happy for you three. Much love.” she wrote underneath Katie and Alex’s post.
The ex-swimming champion echoed the sentiment over on Jared and Jessica’s pages.
“Hugest Congratulations to you both. This is the best news. I’m so excited for you both,” she gushed on Jared’s Instagram, adding on Jessica’s: “Oh my goodness!!! This is absolutely fantastic news. Huge congratulations to you both. You will be amazing parents. I’m so damn excited for you..”
