Love Island star Grant Crapp has lost his $770,000 home in the devastating NSW south coast bushfires.
The reality TV star, 24, and his girlfriend Lucy Cartwright had only bought the home eight months ago before it fell victim to the fires which are wreaking havoc across the nation.

(Image: Instagram)Taking to Instagram, Grant shared his heartbreak and his showed his followers the charred remains of his beloved home as he and Lucy returned after being evacuated on New Year’s Eve.
“Reality of the bushfires. Lost everything. Grateful that the people that matter are still with me,” he captioned the post.
In the footage, Grant shows his burnt and broken possessions, but tries to keep his spirits high by joking about drinking some beers, which had remained safe inside his fridge following the inferno.
“May as well have a few beers, are they cold?” he joked.

Love Island narrator Eoghan McDermott was quick to offer words of support, writing, “Jesus dude, I’m so sorry to see this. Devastating. Stay safe.”
Radio host Jackie “O” Henderson added: “So sorry Grant”.
Meanwhile, Married At First Sight‘s Nasser Sultan wrote, “Mate I’m heartbroken and life’s not fair sometimes but you have everyone with you in spirit including me. So you will rebuild slowly life is more important so at least you guys are safe”

(Image: Instagram)On New Year’s Eve, Grant, who won the first season of Love Island alongside Tayla Damir, took to Instagram to describe his terror as he and Lucy were forced to evacuate as the bushfires got dangerously closer.
“It’s actually surreal to feel warm wind. And there’s a fire that’s three kilometres away, it’s f–king huge, so we’ve just had to evacuate,” he said.
“You get all these weird messages and weird calls from the police and the RFS, and it sounds like the scariest thing I’ve ever witnessed.”
