Out of all the farmers on Farmer Wants A Wife this season, Paige has had the worst luck with potential partners.

This week, things get even more dire for her when it looks like the one man she has a real connection with doesn’t feel the same way.

Things started badly for Paige at the speed dating when she could only come up with four men she wanted to ask back to her farm in Cassilis, NSW, instead of five. Her pool of men dropped from four to three when Marty left the farm to go to hospital.

“It was a bit of a blindside,” the 27-year-old tells TV WEEK. “I just rolled with it because everyone has to put themselves first.”

This week, Paige is enjoying her time with carpenter Dylan – “he could make me laugh” – but isn’t sure whether he’s feeling anything more than friendship.

“There were a lot of questions going through my mind,” she says. “I was being given not very much, so I genuinely couldn’t tell from things like body language where he was at.”

“This isn’t a normal dating situation.”

The farmer admits she was starting to wonder if she was going to end up with no potential partners at all, which left her feeling “disappointed”.

“I was a bit confused as well,” she adds. “This isn’t a normal dating situation.”

The question is, did Paige ever look at any of the other farmers on the show and think one of them might be a good match for her? She laughs off the idea.

“They were calling me ‘Sis’ from the second day,” she insists. “We just became a big family.”

In fact, Paige’s lasting friendship with Ben, Benjamin, Will and Harry is one of the things that made the experience worthwhile for her.

“We talk all the time, every couple of days,” she says. “They’re amazing.”
