Farmer Wants A Wife 2023 has proved to be one of the most successful seasons yet, with each of the five farmers finding their perfect match – or so we thought.
One of the five lucky farmers once included farmer Brenton Kuch, 26, who fell in love with social media manager Sophie, 25. However the romance only lasted a few months before their end.

“With a heavy heart, I want to let everyone know Brenton and I have gone our separate ways.
“Reg and I loved our life in Darriman and have been missing the farm a lot,” she said of her dog.
“It’s a disappointing ending, but I’ve learned a lot about myself and my values.
“I wish Brenton all the best and want to thank everyone for their support, especially my family and friends.”
Despite their shock split and fans not knowning what happened behind the scenes, we cannot deny the epic start to their love story.

Brenton knew that Sophie would be the one from the start.
(Image: Seven Network)Brenton surprised fans in the initial stages of the season, confessing in episode two that Sophie had been the girl to steal his heart before the couple even met!
“When they showed me the applications, [the producers] were like ‘Here’s Sophie’ with a photo and all that … I was like ‘yep!’ and you were the first girl to come up on the application,” Brenton told Sophie during their first date.
“I was always going to pick you for the 24-hour date .. I thought ‘I’ll take Soph’,” he added, before confessing to the camera, “I’ve got the feels, that’s it. Done and dusted.”
From that point on, Sophie and Brenton’s connection continued to grow stronger by the day, with Sophie remaining a consistent favourite throughout the remainder of the season.
The beach neighbouring Brenton’s Darriman farm became a special spot for the couple.
(Image: Seven Network)It was during the final decision that Brenton was able to finally express the full extent of his feelings towards Sophie, telling her, “Soph, I’ve never felt like this with anyone. You’re the most beautiful girl I’ve ever met. I’m falling in love with you.”
Unsurprisingly, Sophie was over the moon, telling Brenton, “You are everything I was looking for… You’re making me the happiest girl in the world.”
The couple further divulged their relationship in the Farmer Wants A Wife 2023 reunion episode, with Brenton simply summarising their post-filming life by saying, “It’s nice to be in love.”
Sophie shared a similar sentiment, stating “It’s really nice just to be together,” adding, “As soon as I got back to the farm with him, I just wanted it to be us forever.”
Luckily for the couple, it appears that their plan for forever is working out just fine, with the couple sharing that they are still very much in love.
The couple also shared during the reunion that Sophie has officially made the move from Queensland to Brenton’s farm in Darriman, Victoria, with the pair taking the move as the perfect opportunity for a road trip between their two homes.

(Image: Instagram)According to the couple, Sophie has already begun to make her mark on the farm, sharing during the reunion that they had officially commenced renovations on the bathroom of their farm home.
Brenton has also recently shared an update to his Instagram, telling his followers that Farmer Wants A Wife was “the best experience I could ever think of.”
Now, six months on from the conclusion of their Farmer Wants A Wife journey, the couple are still going strong, with Sophie’s parents making the trip to Darriman from Brisbane for the first time.
Sophie has now also been joined by her adorable dog Reggie who has been loving the endless room to play.
“From cramped up city living in Brisbane to this… 😍 Reggie is obsessed with being on the back of the ute, chases swallows all day and loves when we sneak in a beach visit. Even the farm dog crew have been welcoming, despite the fact he will never get a gig working with them 😆🤫,” Sophie wrote to Instagram.
That sadly was the final update from the couple before their split. We wish them both the best.
