Dylan Lewis has been crowned the winner of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia for 2022, taking home $50,000 in prize money and $100,000 for his nominated charity.
“Our new King of the jungle, take your seat on that throne. Abbie, please anoint our King. King Dylan!” Dr Chris Brown and Julia Morris cheered as Dylan received his crown from previous Jungle Queen Abbie Chatfield.
His win was met with plenty of applause from the crowd, his family and fellow campmates, all of whom were proud to see him win.
The charity Dylan won $100,000 for is Lifeline, a charity that holds a special place in his heart after his brother died by suicide, a painful story he shared during his time in the jungle.
“My brother’s name is Quinn. He’s three years younger than me… We grew up best friends… He’s the reason I do music,” the TV and radio host said in an earlier episode.
“[He] had a few mental health issues going on and, 15 years ago, he took his own life.” Dylan added that Lifeline, a the suicide prevention service, will always “know what kind of help you need.”
Following Dylan in second place was Brooke McClymont, while Nathan Buckley was voted into the third spot, Emily Seebohm came in fourth, David Subritzky was fifth and Joey Essex secured sixth place.
It was a wild ride on the show this year, with all the gross tucker trials and terrifying challenges we’ve come to expect from I’m A Celeb.
Brooke McClymont drank urine lemonade, David Subritzky ate a whole huntsman spider and Dylan Lewis was sent into the horrifying viper pit.
But back at camp there were nothing but good vibes, ejected contestant Maria Thattil told TV WEEK.
“I remember her [Brooke] playing music and some of the guys were cooking dinner. The rest of us were literally in a giant train, spooning each other and having a cuddle,” she revealed.
“And I remember thinking, ‘we’re a few days in, but we feel like a family’, that was really amazing.”

Speaking of Maria, she and Joey Essex caused a stir with their on-screen flirtations, from cute hand-holding to a cheeky Titanic recreation – with a little help from David.
Though the former Miss Universe Australia wouldn’t spill any details on where her relationship with Joey is at now, she did divulge a few details about their – ahem, connection.
“It was [rooted] in banter and enjoying each other’s company, being attracted to each other was just the cherry on the cake in that situation,” she said.
The pair even flirted during the finale, but as for where their relationship stands right now – we still can’t be sure!
While she and Joey (as well as Dylan and the rest of the celebrities) have left the jungle now, we have no doubt all the former campmates will all be keeping in touch.
Maria revealed to us that they all have a shared group text where they regularly chat, and what we wouldn’t give to have a peek at those DM’s!
In the meantime, we’ll just have to hold tight and wait for the next season of Australia’s favourite show set in the so-called-jungle to drop in 2023.
And once again, congratulations to our new Jungle King Dylan Lewis!
