Controversial Married at First Sight season nine contestant Domenica Calarco has made headlines once more after revealing that her paycheck for her spin off show ‘Dom’s Debrief‘ was, well, non-existent.
The show was announced in October, and at the time of launch was described by the Nine Network as a 9NOW exclusive series that would feature the outspoken bride, calling some of her co-stars to “catch up on all the goss” ahead of the season 10 premiere.

The announcement however, did not go down well with her fellow season nine castmates, who argued that the network should have selected someone who had more ‘friendships’ within the group.
Carolina Santos and Jackson Lonie wrote on social media that they had both blocked Dom’s number and therefore wouldn’t be appearing on the show, while Olivia Frazer hinted at favouritism from producers in the Instagram comments of the official show announcement post.
“Your number is blocked hon oops,” Carolina Santos replied.
“Devo that I missed it. Chatting to you would be like a dream of mine.”
“But producers don’t favour anyone, right?” Olivia Frazer added, followed by Daniel Holmes who said, “As the old saying goes. ROFL”.
“The number you have called has been disconnected please check the number and try again,” Jackson Lonie wrote.
To make matters worse, a source has told So Dramatic! that the 29 year old bride “was not paid” to host the digital only show.
“Channel Nine pitched it as a great opportunity that could potentially lead to more TV work within the network,” they claimed.
“They are of the belief that they made Domenica the big star she is, so they, therefore, don’t have to pay her. It’s an honour to be chosen to do it, and great exposure for her.”
The platform then went on to claim that insider sources told them that Dom agreed to do the show for free “because she wanted the prestige that came with it”.
They added that Martha Kalifatidis, who hosted her own online exclusive MAFS series in 2021 titled ‘Martha’s Red Wine Moments‘, was reportedly paid $5000 and she did it for similar reasons.
“Channel Nine knew if Dom said no that someone else would snap the opportunity up,” the insider said.
