Danny Green was the victor on the night, winning the bout on points and silencing Anthony ‘The Man’ Mundine.

“For me that was a fitting way to end my career, watching him in tears after the fight made it even sweeter after all his carry on and all the crap that he’s spoken,” Danny tells TV WEEK.

And yet as soon as word spread that both boxers were set to enter the jungle on this season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia, the rumours surrounding a third fight kicked into overdrive.

“The jungle is a big open space and anything could happen in there, for me that’s the most enticing way to have the third fight, going toe to toe in the jungle,” a fired up Danny revealed to TV WEEK.

“I’m turning 45 in March, I wanted the rematch much earlier, he dodged me for years and now it’s too late,” says Green.

“Plus, I finished any relevance to Mundine’s career on February 4th, 2017.”

Despite continually trading barbs in the media, earlier this week, former I’m A Celeb winner.

Brendan Fevola claimed the ‘feud’ was all for show and the boxers are actually best friends.

“It’s quite bizarre that Brendan has said those things, he didn’t strike me as a bloke to fabricate a story to get a headline,” says Danny.

“He knows full well that Mundine and myself are the furthest thing from friends, there is no secret friendship.”

“It’s even more ridiculous to make out like Mundine and I are hanging out, absolute bulls***,” he adds.

Fake enemies or real friends, either way seems these two celebs are set to square off in South Africa.
