Samuel and Cassandra were revealed to be joining the cast alongside cricket legend Sir Curtly Ambrose in an exciting announcement made earlier today, and it seems romance could be in the stars for the duo.

In an interview with Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa, Sam revealed he’s got a bit of a thing for Cass, who is recently single after her split from ex-husband Karl Stefanovic in 2016.

The hosts asked Sam what he thought of the new Dancing With The Stars promo photo, which shows Cass in her red dance costume.

“She’s banging,” Sam admired. “She’s looking good and she’s got the moves, I’ll tell you what.”

Though Sam, 40, joked he’s struggling to learn all the moves – “there is no Latin in these hips” – he did say he thinks Cass, 47, could “go all the way” on the show.

“I did tell her she looks great, and it looks like she’s going to go all the way because she’s got the moves,” Sam said. “She’s got swagger and she looks banging, she’s got the goods!”

Fitzy joked “If you win it for [your charity] Love Your Sister, and you find love with Stefo’s ex at the end of it – oh my god!”

Sam quipped back “Imagine if I got the trifecta and found Latin in these hips!”

Sam and his late sister, Connie Johnson, created the charity in 2012, with the goal of raising $10 million for cancer reasearch in Australia.

“I promised the country I’d raise $10 million for cancer research and I want to dance my way there,” he says of his decision to join DWTS.

“My sister wanted me to dance my way there. For me I’m not coming back to telly, I’m coming somewhere to dance my way towards this promise that I’ve been trying to fulfil for 7 years. I’d do it whether the cameras were there or not.”

Dancing With The Stars is coming soon to Network 10.
