When ironman Jett Kenny stepped off the dance floor and returned home to Queensland last week to compete on the beach, he left fans in no doubt that he and dance partner Lily Cornish have taken their relationship to the next level.
The couple hugged and cuddled on the beach for all to see, and were later seen walking hand in hand on the Gold Coast, beaming with smiles and gazing lovingly at each other in a display of young love.
Their intimate public displays spoke volumes, and family friends last week confirmed to Woman’s Day that Jett, 24, has fallen hopelessly in love with dark haired beauty Lily, 20.
“Jett hasn’t dated a lot since high school, so the fact he’s fallen so hard for Lily has taken everyone by surprise,” reveals a close family friend, who says Lily has been welcomed into the Kenny-Curry clan.
“He’s trying as hard as he can to make it work, but it’s tricky because she lives in Melbourne and he lives on the Sunshine Coast.”
Jett’s famous mum, Olympian Lisa Curry, has been playing Cupid behind the scenes so Jett doesn’t let his beautiful Dancing With The Stars partner slip away.
“Lisa is Lily’s biggest fan and really wants it to work out, so she’s gone all out to make Lily feel welcome and a part of the family,” reveals the friend, who says Jett’s dad, former ironman champion Grant Kenny is also very supportive.
“Lisa’s pushing Jett constantly, actually nagging him, even arranging family lunches at the old family home with [his sisters] Jaimi and Morgan, and Morgan’s husband and baby, and Grant. Lily seems to have slotted perfectly into the family. If Lisa could, she’d have them married off already!”

There was no doubting love was in the air when Jett and Lily stepped out for the first time as a couple at the Aussie National Surf Life Saving Carnival on the Gold Coast two weeks ago with the ironman beaming with happiness.
“I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have feelings for her,” he says.
What happened to Lily’s ex-boyfriend?
Lily had been dating Tasmanian student Jock White for two years when she met Jett in January and just last month he was insisting they were “still together”, dismissing the red-hot chemistry between Jett and Lily as “just all part of the act” for DWTS.
But he and Lily spent most of last year apart, and it seems she has most definitely moved on!
