Look, it’s one of life’s many harsh but irrefutable truths – some people just aren’t very good dancers.

You’ve either got rhythm, or you don’t.

And that undeniable fact is always particularly evident on Dancing With The Stars, as each year we watch some of Australia’s most-loved celebrities strap on their dancing shoes and put their bodies on the line, while they attempt to shimmy and shake their way to winning $50,000 for their chosen charity, as well as taking home the coveted mirror ball trophy.

Following an intense training period with their professional dance partners, they are thrown out onto the dancefloor in front of a live studio audience and given just a few minutes to prove themselves.

Then, viewers at home are asked to vote for their favourite performance, and the celebrity with the least number of votes each week is given the flick.

WINNER: CELIA PACQUOLA

The Aussie comedian and her professional dance partner Jarryd Byrne, dubbed #TeamGiggles, took home the mirrorball trophy and $50,000 for her chosen charity, Safe Steps Family Violence Response Centre.

CHRSTIAN WILKINS

While his Dancing With The Stars journey has been slightly marred, with Christian and his dance partner Lily forced into quarantine for two weeks due to the coronavirus outbreak, the fabulous fashionista still managed to come in at second place.

CLAUDIA KARVAN

The Secret Life Of Us actress wowed the judges with one of her final dances and was awarded 10s across the board. But it wasn’t enough to take out the top spot, with Claudia coming in at third place.

ED KAVALEE

The Aussie comedian and husband of fitness queen Tiffiny Hall came in at fourth place.

DAMI IM

The talented Aussie singer became the sixth celebrity to be eliminated from the competition, as the stars danced without a live studio audience, a cautionary measure taken by Channel 10 in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

CHLOE LATTANZI

She was a hot early favourite to take home the coveted disco ball trophy, but Olivia Newton-John’s beloved daughter Chloe failed to impress the judges and was sent home.

TRAVIS CLOKE

The AFL star sadly wasn’t as impressive on the dancefloor as he once was on the footy field, and was sent home in the show’s fifth week.

BEAU RYAN

The footy star turned TV and radio host was brought to his knees – literally – by DWTS’ Latin week. But even after being eliminated so early, Beau remained positive. “It’s been one hell of a journey. I challenge myself every day and this was one huge challenge and I won’t stop,” he said.

ANGIE KENT

Our 2019 Bachelorette Angie Kent was devastated to be voted off the show in the second week, following her emotional dance tribute to her late grandmother. Now, Angie says has “hung up” her reality TV boots and is instead going to enjoy a quieter work schedule in 2020, as she settles into her new life in Sydney with boyfriend Carlin Sterritt.

DEAN WELLS

Former MAFS groom Dean Wells was the first celebrity contestant eliminated this season. But despite his early exit, Dean says he lost 8kg thanks to his intense dance training schedule and has vowed to live a healthier lifestyle from now on. Good for you Dean!
