In yet another shock move from Seven, the TV network has announced they have swept up iconic dancing reality show Dancing With The Stars from Ten.
Just weeks after it was announced Ten would not return to the dancefloor in 2021, Seven – who have already scooped up The Voice and Farmer Wants A Wife from competing networks – last week revealed they were adding an All Stars version of DWTS to their 2021 slate.
The network is said to be inviting Aussie celebs who have stormed the dance floor in past seasons to get their dancing shoes on once more.
And in what appears be a thinly veiled dig at Ten, we’re told they’ll only feature talent who appeared on their own version of the show, which aired from 2004 to 2015.
Dancing With The Stars will air on Channel Seven in 2021.
SONIA & DARYL TO REUNITE
While she already has a jam-packed year ahead of her, a source tells Woman’s Day exclusively that Sonia Kruger, 55, is begging network executives to let her be a part of the reboot, particularly after she was given word that Daryl Somers , 69, is also set to return to helm the program.
While the pair are yet to be officially announced as the hosts, we’re told producers are wanting to play into the nostalgia of what the show was back in its heyday when the two TV veterans hosted it from its inception in 2004 until 2011.
The show has brought together some of Australia’s most beloved stars.

Included in the first tier list of names are Tom Williams, Patti Newton and Larry Emdur – whose new gym-honed physique is said to have been motivated by his return – and also Bec Hewitt, Fifi Box and Kate Ceberano.
Fan favourites and Home And Away stars Lynne McGranger, Ada Nicodemou and Holly Brisley are also being considered, while Anthony Callea’s husband Tim Campbell, McLeod’s Daughters‘ Bridie Carter, Anh Do and Human Nature band member Toby Allen also feature high on the list.
And if those names aren’t exciting enough, our source reveals executives are also being inundated with requests from big-name celebrities such as Ricki-Lee Coulter, Tina Arena, Manu Feildel and Danielle Spencer, who are all so eager to return to the stage they’re clearing their busy schedules to make way for the three-week shoot.
Production is set to begin filming in March, with the giant disco ball making the big move from Melbourne to Sydney for filming.
Home And Away stars Lynne McGranger and Ada Nicodemou are among the favourites believed to be returning to the show in 2021.
