Bride & Prejudice: The Forbidden Weddings became a surprise ratings hit for Channel Seven in 2017 and now the show will soon be back on our screens for its third season.
The reality TV show features five couples wanting to get married, but for various reasons, their loved ones don’t want them walking down the aisle.
As the cameras roll, the couples will attempt to salvage their troubled relationships with the families and get their disapproving loved ones to approve of their unions.
But when exactly will all the explosive drama unfold? Well, the premiere date is fast approaching.
Channel Seven has officially confirmed Bride & Prejudice will kick off Wednesday October 2 from 7.30pm, with the second episode right behind it on Thursday, October 3 in the same time slot.
While last year’s season featured cheating partners, lie detecter tests, and a mother attempting to bribe her son’s fiancée to break up with him, it looks as though the participants in 2019 are just as dysfunctional.
In one dramatic promo (which you can watch in the player above), one bride-to-be accuses her future mother-in-law, Laurelle, of kidnapping her daughter at just three weeks old.
It’s unlikely to be a smooth road to forgiveness however, as Laurelle is later seen telling her future daughter-in-law that she’ll never accept her – then straps her into a lie detecter machine for a thorough grilling.

Meanwhile, same-sex couple JoJo and Jess are struggling with a different issue.
They’re head over heels in love with one another, but JoJo’s strictly religious parents are strongly against their daughter marrying a woman and are refusing to attend the nuptials.
Then there’s Milly and Micah. Milly’s mother disapproves of Micah because she thinks he smokes too much marijuana and that her daughter can do better.
It’s a similar sentiment shared by Mary-Ann, whose daughter Tori is engaged to James. Mary-Ann believes Jame is a “bad boy” who is not good enough for Tori.
So can these couples patch up their family relationships? Or will they all be torn apart forever?
Stay tuned in October to find out!
