The Bachelor Australia 2020 finale day is finally here and as wild theories as to exactly who wins Locky Gilbert’s heart reach fever pitch, the show’s rumoured runner-up Bella Varelis is breaking her silence.
On Thursday morning, just hours ahead of the final episode, a message from Bella reflecting on her journey was shared via the official Bachelor Instagram account, under the headline: “MESSAGE FROM BELLA.”
“Never in a million years did I think I would be stepping out of the limo that first night and meeting someone who I’d connect with on so many levels,” the 25-year-old explained of her instant connection with Locky.
“After a very long, incredible journey and seeing Locky with my loved ones, I have a full heart and I can definitely picture my life with him, which is simultaneously exciting and petrifying,” she added.
While not giving too much away, Bella did hint that perhaps things don’t go her way.
“Regardless of the outcome, this has been one heck of a wild ride and I’m so grateful for the beautiful people I’ve met along the way and everything I’ve learnt about myself,” she signed off.
The digital marketing manager also took to her own personal Instagram account to reflect on the momentous occasion.
“After a long, incredible journey we’re finally here ✨ I’m so excited at the prospect of finally finding my happily ever after 💜 let’s do this,” Bella penned.
Accompanying the post was a snap of the brunette beauty in her grand finale gown – a show-stopping strapless plum-coloured gown.
If Bella were to walk away with Locky tonight, it would certainly be the shock ending no one saw coming with the fans and bookies alike pinning Melbourne-based nurse Irena as the firm favourite to end up with the adventure man.
Doing little to quell the runner-up claims, Bella has been papped with numerous reality TV fellas including Jad from Gogglebox and rumoured on-off boyfriend and former Bachelorette star Nathan Favro.
She’s also believed to be living with castmate Bec Cvilikas in Sydney.
So, if Bella had won Locky’s heart in the final episode, we’d be a little surprised to see her living with one of his exes from the show.
