Beauty and The Geek is one of our favourite shows for being so wholesome.
Both the Beauties and Geeks prove every week why two worlds that look different to one another can make magic.
We also love watching the cohorts fall in friendship and sometimes love as they take on challenges and bond.
But our favourite part has to be the transformations.
A good makeover scene is pop culture’s most endearing trope that has us feeling giddy, especially when the Geeks discover a sense of inner confidence they couldn’t see without the show.
Of course, Beauty and The Geek isn’t without its controversies.
The show’s host Sophie Monk set the record straight in an exclusive chat with Now To Love about rumours the program hires paid actors.
It has become a popular question for fans who can’t believe a reality television show can genuinely lift spirits rather than rely on toxic drama.
“The boys would be so flattered to hear that [people think they’re actors]. Someone even asked me if we geek them up more, and I’ve watched their audition tapes, if anything they are less geeked up in the promo!” she said.
She also teased us about the makeovers and even went as far to say they’re the best in the show’s history.
“They’re just so proud of themselves. Some of them have gorgeous features that they’ve either been hiding behind a beard or hair and they don’t realise,” said the 42-year-old.
“I said to one of them, ‘You could be a supermodel!’ and he goes, ‘I know, I had no idea, I look great.'”
Prepare for the cutest overload with our running gallery of every makeover to shake up Beauty and The Geek in 2022.

Nine didn’t hold back with the clippers when it came to Nate, chopping off the majority of his long locks and removing his beard and glasses. He looked like a whole new person in the reunion.
Alexander
Alexander
As he returned for the final episode, Alexander had a fresh cut and no beard in sight. His outfit completed the makeover taking him from geek to chic.
Jayden
Jayden
The beauties and geeks were in shock when they saw Jayden’s transformation, with the geek himself even saying he felt like a “model”.
Michael
Michael
Michael earned a big hug from his beauty – and budding love interest – Tara after he debuted his transformation. His long locks were styled to swoon-worthy perfection, and his trench coat was a long way from his original choice of attire.
Keeping it simple, the children’s party entertainer penned a simple “Oh damn” on Instagram after his makeover.
Anthony
Anthony
Harry Potter fanatic Anthony welled with emotion after he saw his new self. The geek rocked his new hairdo and wardrobe with plenty of support from his fellow beauties.
“Even though I’m not necessarily hot and attractive by societies standards, I believe it’s more about what’s on the inside that counts because as we know beauty does fade over time but if you have a beautiful heart and soul, then that’s what really matters here,” Anthony wrote on Instagram.
“When I look in the mirror now, I see someone who is worth people’s time and at the end of the day that’s really what matters.”
Aaron
Aaron
Aaron’s beauty Karly burst into tears the minute she saw the geek’s makeover. With a new pair of frames, a fresh haircut and dapper wardrobe, the train driver was smiling from ear to ear.
If I appeared speechless and shocked here it’s because I was. In the past, I had wanted to change but didn’t know what to do and found it too overwhelming but thanks to @jeff.lack for providing some much needed advice and information but also to @karllyfisher for her love and support and pretty much just having my back through this experience,” Aaron penned on Instagram.
Jason
Jason
Jason couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw his transformation for the first time. Gone were the musician’s long locks and scruffy beard, and in was a whole new wardrobe.
“Thank you to everyone who made this happen, and to everybody that gave me little compliments as I walked around the makeover area avoiding any reflective surfaces. Top priority for the moment is to not let this go to my head,” Jason wrote on Instagram.
Chris
Chris
Second to undergo a transformation was software engineer slash Japanese card game enthusiast, Chris.
The Mick Jagger lookalike parted with his scraggy hair and donned a whole new wardrobe as his fellow beauties and geeks hyped him up following the big reveal.
“It’s bizarre to receive so much praise and support in such a short time but it feels really good to finally step out and see such a positive reaction from these amazing, beautiful people that I’m sharing this experience with,” he said of his makeover on Instagram.
Mike
Mike
Mike is our first Geek to receive his makeover, and the results were jaw-dropping.
The Batman enthusiast had entered the show with a scruffy beard, undone locks, and a love for graphic shirts.
But when the 20-year-old stepped out from behind the makeover den, an audible gasp was heard from the Beauties.
Mike looked dashing with his beard trimmed into a neat stubble, his hair styled with short sides and a touch longer top and his outfit was enviable.
The Geek was styled in a blue and white pinstripe shirt, with a white singlet layered underneath and a dark grey blue suit.
Mike was pleased with the results, and he told producers, “I’ve never actually been called hot before. But I’m feeling it now.”
