As we head towards the finale of Angie Kentโ€™s season of The Bachelorette Australia, we canโ€™t help but wonder what last yearโ€™s leading lady, Ali Oetjen, has been up to since leaving the show.

In a heartbreaking โ€“ yet, obviously, heart-warming โ€“ finale, Ali broke up with Australiaโ€™s knight in shining armour, Todd King, and chose to walk off in to the sunset with Taite Radley.

Some fans were left in shock by the end result, as Taite wasnโ€™t on-board with Aliโ€™s rigid timeline for marriage and kids.

At the time, Ali told TV WEEK she โ€œreally didnโ€™t careโ€ about the critics because they were so happy. One year later, the duo are still madly in love.

The couple celebrated their one year anniversary in August, with Ali marking the occasion on Instagram.

โ€œThe love, laughter and dreams we share together makes it so effortless and enjoyable!โ€ she wrote.

โ€œThe time has flown, 1 year ago today we stood in Darwin sharing our true feelings for the first time & now my happiness radiates even more, which I didnโ€™t think was possible!โ€

Ali moved to Melbourne two months after the series wrapped filming, with the couple focusing on building their careers before jumping in to marriage and family plans.

The 33-year-old star has launched โ€˜Ali Wellnessโ€™ since leaving the show, which involves a health blog, E-Book, meal plans, and hosting health retreats. Earlier this month, she also announced the launch of โ€˜Ace Bodโ€™ a project that is yet to be unveiled.

Taite, who works as a personal trainer, often makes appearances at the retreats and posting supportively about them on his own profiles.

โ€œCongratulations to this superstar. All the hard work has paid off,โ€ Taite, 29, wrote after her first retreat in June.

Ali and Taite join Georgia Love and Lee Elliott in being the only two Bachelorette Australia success stories.

Georgia and Lee, who met on the second season in 2016, recently became engaged!

With Angie Kent recently confirming sheโ€™s โ€œhappy and in loveโ€ with her chosen suitor, there should soon be a third couple to add to that list.

The Bachelorette Australia finale week airs Wednesday and Thursday, 7:30pm, on 10.
