The ugly blazer worn by Bachelor Matt Agnew that reality TV producers LOVE to wheel out every season

Hang on ... that jacket looks VERY familiar!

It’s no secret that our reality TV stars are dressed by fashion professionals, with a hoard of stylists hand-picking suits and dresses for these glamazons to wear onscreen.

And on The Bachelor, both the Bachelor himself and the lovely ladies vying for his heart are provided with lots of options to wear during the show’s regular cocktail parties.

Sometimes the TV stylists get it right, but sadly more often than not, the fashion choices completely miss the mark.

But it was the outfit our Bachelor Matt Agnew wore during episode 2 last night that particularly caught our eye, because it looked super familiar.

This maroon velvet blazer from Politix, which the Bachie paired with classic black suit pants, appears to be exactly the same design worn by more than a few other Aussie reality stars over the years.

We’ve spotted this exact blazer on not one, but three other blokes looking for love on TV.

First of all, we have Blake Colman, who we first met on Sophie Monk’s season of The Bachelorette in 2017, and would later go onto star in Bachelor In Paradise.

Here he is, pictured before a rose ceremony back in 2017, in a maroon velvet blazer just like Matt’s.

Remember Blake Colman? Turns out he can rock this blazer too.

Then, we’ve got Jake Ellis, who was originally on Georgia Love’s season of The Bachelorette, and later found love with Megan Marx on Bachelor In Paradise.

If you cast your mind back to 2016, you’ll remember this shot of Jake looking spiffy in the maroon velvet jacket.

Looks like Channel 10 decided to wheel the same jacket out for Jake Ellis too.

But that’s not all. In a reality TV network crossover, it appears as though Channel Nine’s wardrobe department also picked out a similar look for Married At First Sight groom Dino Hira.

In his official promo shots, Dino can be seen sporting what looks like the same jacket!

In case you’re interested, the jacket is currently stocked on Politix’s website for $329.

The velvet jacket is made from polyester and features a “sateen shawl lapel” and “sharp slim design”.

Fingers crossed we don’t have to endure too many more seasons where this ugly jacket makes an appearance again.

We hope it’s done its time!
