Her lover Sam Cochrane surprised her in the finale of Bachelor in Paradise by dropping to his knee and asking her to spend the rest of her life with him.
But NW hears the fan faves have put the breaks on their wedding plans since returning to the real world.
“Paradise felt like a dream for Tara and Sam, but when they went back to their normal lives, things changed – and they started questioning whether they had rushed into things,” a TV insider claims.
“Being in Paradise is completely different to being in the real world – you don’t have your everyday pressures, like work and family, and you have nothing else to focus on besides your island partner. It’s really easy to get carried away in the moment.”
Indeed, the lovebirds had known each other for only four weeks before Sam, 31, popped the question to Tara, 28.
And while it seems like a short time to make such a massive lifelong commitment, sources say Sam was agonising over his relationship with Tara in the final days of filming.
“The show was coming to an end and all Sam could think about was, ‘What’s going to happen after this all ends?’ and ‘Will she still want to be with me after the show?'” the source tells NW.
“He was so worried that she’d change her mind about him or that their romance would dwindle after the show, and he was taking no chances. He woke up next to her every day for weeks, and he wanted that to continue after the show, so he took the plunge!”
And it paid off.
However, things started to change for the couple not long after they returned to their normal lives, with insiders saying that Sam’s insecurities over his relationship with Tara were truly tested when his lady love became increasingly close to her co-star Davey Lloyd, 28.
“Sam was gutted by how affectionate Tara and Davey were after the show,” a source close to the couple dishes.
“Even though they are clearly just mates, Sam really struggled with it.”
“Everyone thought Tara and Davey were going to hook up for sure – they seemed like the perfect match,” the friend spills.
“But now no-one could imagine Tara with anyone but Sam – they’re absolutely perfect for each other.”
