There’s nothing quite like a walk down memory lane… unless you’re Bachelor in Paradise‘s Richie Strahan and Alex Nation, that is.
In a teaser that has shocked, compelled and undoubtedly humoured Australia, the 2019 season of the reality TV show has aired some serious dirty laundry between the two new cast members.
The former Bachelor couple, who split in 2017 after a short-lived romance, are first seen in the trailer discussing the messy ending to their relationship separately to camera.
But in true dramatic reality TV style, the pair eventually come face to face, and what ensues isn’t for the faint of heart…

In the short teaser posted on the show’s official channels, Richie states: “I was obviously in a relationship with Alex and, well, the circumstances of that breakup were quite brutal.”
“I don’t know if Australia’s ready for the grubby details surrounding it,” he adds, insinuating something very unsavoury occurred between the pair.
Well, it seems we’ll have to be ready whether we like it or not when the teaser then reveals an explosive encounter between the two.
“You can honestly sit there and say you were perfect in our relationship,” Alex heatedly accuses Richie while they sit face-to-face on the beach.
The former Bachelor angrily fires back: “Don’t put words in my mouth”

And that’s not the only drama the new season of the show is set to bring.
Two other cast members have also been revealed in a promotional teaser – former Bachie “mean girls” Cat Henesy and Alisha Aitken-Radburn.
The pair are best known for their dramatic appearance on the 2018 season of The Bachelor, where they vied for Nick Cummins’ heart.
Joined by fellow strong-minded contestant Romy Poulier the girls fast made a name for themselves as the undisputed villains of the show.
And while a few months have passed since the explosive Bachelor season, fans have clearly not forgotten the trouble they caused – with many citing their behaviour as straight up bullying.
One Bachelor in Paradise fan wrote: “Why is Channel Ten giving bullies more air time???”
Another said: “It goes to show you would rather put bullies who create drama on TV for ratings! No one liked these girls Cat and Alisha and they were bullies and absolutely horrible!”

Network Ten also previously confirmed Cassandra Wood and Brooke Blurton would both be appearing on the new season.
Furthermore, a source revealed to Now To Love that more Bachelor alums were set to shake things up in Fiji – Florence Alexander and Bill Goldsmith.
The Dutch beauty has appeared on the show before, as well as appearing on Matty J’s season of The Bachelor.
And while we’ll have to wait to see the show air to get the full goss, apparently she’s set to flair tensions between Alex and a certain someone she shows interest in.
“Bill and Alex seem to hit it off but then Flo comes into the picture and sets her sights on Bill,” the insider told Now To Love.
Stay tuned as we wait in anticipation for the show to air in the coming weeks!
