It may not have worked out for Matt Agnew, but it seems that Network Ten are keen to pursue the hot doctor thing for the upcoming season of The Bachelor Australia.
According to site Aus Doc, producers have contacted the Australian Medical Association to help them find a “male doctor who can pack a stethoscope as well as a six-pack”.
Word is filming begins in February, and they’re also bumping up the age of female hopefuls looking for love, with an age bracket of 27 to 40.
Seeing as we haven’t had a successful Bachelor love story since Matty J, we thought we’d have a go at casting and have found five top blokes who work in medicine and veterinary science.
Plus, the good news is that all five of these guys have had a shot at appearing on TV, so they’re no strangers to working in front of the camera.
Have a squizz and see what you think of our suggestions.

Dr Chris Brown
This guy’s been rumoured to be the Bachelor for years and to be fair, it’s easy to see why.
Not only is he drop-dead gorgeous, but he has a solid relationship with Channel Ten and it means we’d get to see heaps of cute animal themed dates.
For now, it seems that he and The Loop‘s Liv Phyland are all over red rover, but these two have a habit of breaking up and getting back together so fingers crossed he stays single to find his Ms Right on national television.
Femi Ogunsiji
You may not recognise the name but Femi’s already starred on one of Network Ten’s biggest shows.
Along with his partner Nick Evbuomwan (who’s taken), the 23-year-old has trekked across the globe as part of The Amazing Race so we know he’s up for a bit of adventure and can handle those high-pressure rose ceremonies.
Granted he’s not a doctor, but as a psychiatric nurse, there’s a strong opportunity for him to advance in his career. Though his age may be a bit of an issue, especially if he’s not keen to date older women.
Jamie Quine
Again, this one’s not technically a doctor but as one of the heroes on Paramedics, he basically is in our eyes.
Not only has he been a paramedic for four years, but he’s also a qualified lifeguard so he’s going to tick that box of looking good with his shirt off.
On top of that, Ambulance Victoria describes him as a “laid-back larrikin and kickboxing fan” so we know he’ll provide some good quality television. The downside? We’re not entirely sure he’s single but we can cross that bridge later.
Dr Alex George
As the only international candidate on our list, Dr Alex George is probably the least likely. Especially as he already has a girlfriend.
The handsome A&E doctor rose to fame on the UK’s 2018 season of Love Island and won viewers over with his six pack and charming personality, and has even confessed that despite gaining some kilos since his Love Island days, he’s not about getting caught up in body image issues.
So Alex, if things don’t work out with your current leading lady, a gorgeous Aussie girl is just a plane ride away!
Dr Nate Cooper
Ok so Alex may not be the most ridiculous idea on our list as we’re not sure fictional doctors count. Still, we’d be down for this guy to hand out some roses.
The handsome Home and Away doc left the show in 2017 after breaking things off with Tori Morgan (Penny McNamee) and stole the hearts of many in both Summer Bay and around the world.
As for actor Kyle Pryor, he recently struck up a relationship with his former Hollyoaks co-star Anna Passey so there isn’t even a chance of that happening. But as always, Kyle you know who to call if you fancy dating over 15 women at once.
