When there are hearts on the line and a strapping sportsman in the mix, the claws can come out!
Romy Poulier has stepped up to the plate as one of this year’s villains on The Bachelor Australia, but she’s accusing frontrunner Brittany Hockley of trying to sabotage her chances with Nick Cummins.
An actress, Romy says she’s not ashamed of her trade and challenges anyone who says she’s using The Bachelor as a platform for her career, including Brit – who’s secretly an aspiring actress herself!
“She told [Nick’s sister] Bernadette that I’m an actress, but I’d already told her and Nick that from the very first second that I met them,” Romy tells OK!.
“Just because I’m an actress doesn’t mean my intentions on the show were any different. I’m 29 and single!”

From scoring parts on Home and Away, and even Steven Spielberg’s Terra Nova, to rubbing shoulders with Hollywood’s biggest names (ahem Chris Hemsworth), Romy questions why there’s a stigma around an actress wanting to find love on The Bachelor.
“Playing a character is very different from real life,” she explains, before spilling some serious goss about 30-year-old Brit’s own acting ambitions – we wonder if Nick, 30, knows!

“The funny thing is when the cameras weren’t rolling, Brittany talked about how she has plans to go to Canada to pursue her acting career, how she studied acting in Scotland at the Acting Academy for years and how she does acting classes in Sydney,” Romy reveals.
And Brittany’s acting profile can be found online. “She has a Star Now account! [Brittany] looks like the fool because they already know about me!”
Brittany shared a Getaway-style clip online back in 2012, showing her spruiking the mid-north coast beaches, à la Lara Worthington for Tourism Australia.
“She has a YouTube clip of a travel segment she did herself. I mean, come on, mate,” Romy tells OK! after the brunette accused her of signing up for Bachie to boost her acting career.
