The new season of AGT will showcase mind-blowing acts in front of a live audience, with the winner being awarded $100,000 prize money.

Grammy-nominated singer, dancer and TV personality Nicole Scherzinger will be joining Australian favourites Shane Jacobson, Manu Feildel and Lucy Durack on the panel.

Nicole, a Grammy-nominated singer who’s previously been a judge on the US and UK versions of The X Factor, arrives in Australia this month to begin filming.

“It’s really wonderful to see every day people come on a stage and show their talent,” Nicole says.

“These contestants can be your next-door neighbour or your grade school teacher – it doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from. The show reminds everyone they too can follow their dreams and honour their gifts – even if they’ve kept them hidden.”

Meanwhile, Manu, who is a veteran judge on Seven’s My Kitchen Rules, has many talents outside of his cooking ability. Before he became a chef and TV personality, Manu mastered juggling, unicycling and acrobatics at a circus school as a teenager.

“I’m a huge fan of good old entertainment,” Manu says of his new gig.

“It’s the kind of family show I’d like to watch myself. It’s simply entertaining for all ages. It just puts a smile on your face. Expect fun! Fun and a lot of laughs.”

Ricki-Lee Coulter has also just been confirmed as the show’s host, revealing she’s “so excited” to be part of the series.

“It’s gonna be so much fun! I’m a big fan and knew it was something I’d really enjoy,” says the former Australian Idol contestant. “Not only do I get a front row seat to watch the best talent Australia has to offer, I also know what it feels like to stand side of stage waiting to step out and do a performance that potentially could change your life.”

“What I love about AGT is that there is so much variety; it’s not just confined to singers or dancers. It’s every type of weird and wonderful coming together on stage. It’s always surprising too. Just when you thought you’d seen it all…you’ll see something that makes your jaw drop! And that’s the beauty of AGT.”
