It feels like only yesterday when we watched Hayley Leake be crowned winner of Australian Survivor: Brains V Brawn, but now we have met the full cast of the exciting new season.
In September last year it was announced the 2022 season would follow the theme of Blood V Water, which sparked plenty of intrigue among Survivor fans.
Now the full new cast is here and some of these faces will definitely look familiar.

Survivor fans rejoice because the rumours were true! MasterChef’s Khanh is taking on Survivor with his sister Amy who is a beautician. The chef has a burning desire to win the title of Sole Survivor, whereas Amy wants to make a name for herself.

These cousins have a skill set fit for success on Survivor as one is a pilot, and the other is a personal trainer. They claim they’re “closer than most brothers,” and Jordan is prepared to push himself to the limits, while Josh wants to use strategic gameplay to come out on top!

Jesse and Jordie (brothers)
Jesse is a triathlete and Jordie trades as a landscaper, so these two may have some serious leverage! The brothers believe they’re each other’s polar opposites but they want to work on becoming the perfect team.

David and Brianna (father and daughter)
David went on the show to help his daughter Brianna achieve her dreams of becoming the Sole Survivor at 26-years-old. They are each other’s perfect opposites, with Briana calling her dad “the skill crusher” to her social butterfly energy.

Ben and Shayelle (Partners)
This couple wants to work together to help overcome the hurdles that will come their way. Shayelle is aware she can get caught up in her emotions, whereas Ben, who stands at 6’4, wants to be the one to watch during challenges.

After making it to 12th place in season four’s Champions V Contenders, Andy is seeking his redemption arc. His sister Kate is joining him, and she aspires to make her own mark on the show, while Andy wants to play with honesty and some good-natured fun.

Alex met Jay when he was dating his famous sister Sam Frost. The couple has now broken up, but the boys’ Survivor journey is about to air. Alex is keen on flying under the radar, while Jay is ultra-competitive.

Sophie and KJ (sisters)
Sophie is an influencer who owns the sleepwear label Cachia, and her sister KJ has worked as a flight attendant and is a super-fan of the show. The girls have big plans to win the show with their wealth of knowledge about gameplay.

Mel and Michelle (identical twins)
These sisters have a unique upper hand – a twin connection! Mel, a strategist, loves the psychology of the game, while Michelle, who works in communication, likes to seek out liars.

Sandra and Nina (mother and daughter)
Hailed by many as the Queen of the Survivor, Sandra Diaz is joined by her daughter Nina Twine.
Sandra is a two-time champion of the American series and has competed four times since her debut in 2003 – so we can expect her to give the other castaways a good challenge.
As for her daughter Nina, well Sandra made it pretty clear in a recent trailer that she has full confidence in her.
“I have a secret weapon – my baby girl Nina. Ya’ll better look out, because I taught her well,” Sandra said in the short teaser.

Croc and Chrissy (in-laws)
Former NRL player Michael Crocker and his sister-in-law Chrissy Zaremba are entering the game as a duo.
For 13 years Michael was a rugby player, before he retired with the Rabbitohs in 2013. He’ll need to dust off his kicks to play this new game that’s set to be an all-new challenge.
Chrissy is the sister of Michael’s partner Kiri-Moana Proctor, who must prove herself in the outback.
Mark and Sam (married)
Survivor sweethearts Mark Wales and Samantha Gash, who starred in the fourth season are among those who are set to star in the upcoming season. The pair first met and fell in love when they competed on Australian Survivor in 2017, and went on to get married in 2019 and share a child together.
BUT will their bond stand the pressures of Survivor once more? We’ll just have to wait and see!
