If you’re loving the Olympics but longing for more LOLs as part of Australia’s quest for gold, look no further! Comedy duo The Inspired Unemployed are here to bring their personal best to hilarious commentary, as part of their roles as Swisse Chief Olympic correspondents.
Not a bad gig for a pair – named Matt Ford and Jack Steele – who’d dropped out of Year 11 on the NSW South Coast and were hating their jobs as tradies just a few years ago.
Matt was a labourer and Jack a plasterer but the pair started filming silly skits for their family and friends while on holiday.
Their clips went viral on Instagram and TikTok, they scored their own TV show, The Inspired Unemployed Impractical Jokers.
They were shocked and thrilled to be approached by some big-name brands – the likes of Fendi, Louis Vuitton and Swisse vitamins who they became Chief Gummies Officers for. As part of that gig, they give the lowdown on which of the chewable vitamins are best for everything from better sleep to making skin glow.
The partnership with Swisse has recently seen the pair jet to Paris for the Games, offering Aussies a behind-the-scenes look at the life of Olympians. Check out some of their adventures here.

Dubbed the “Official Unofficial” hype guys for our Aussie athletes, the boys say, “We’re heading to the fashion capital of the world herself to deliver the nation’s pride to our athletes on the ground. We will be your hosts for the games, delivering timely recaps and commentary from the streets of Paris direct to your phone across Swisse’s Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.
“We’ve been deep in preparation mode for months, tuning into every new Australian Olympics team qualification, keeping an eye on the news from Paris. Trust when we say this is going to be one epic Olympics.”
What Olympic sports will the pair be covering?
Matt and Jack are covering everything from skateboarding with Ruby Trew, to surfing with Jack Robinson and Kayaking with Noemie Fox, bringing their distinctive cheeky approach to the commentary. There’ll also be 2024 Paris Olympic Games Recaps and a cheeky glimpse into Parisian life as the pair explore the city.
