In Neighbours, a family walk in the Dandenongs turns into disaster when Vic falls to the ground. Has he lost his battle with cancer?
Vic (Craig Hall) has been making up for lost time with ex-wife Jane (Annie Jones) and their children, Nicolette (Hannah Monson) and Byron (Xavier Molyneux). Back on the scene since discovering his terminal cancer diagnosis, he has enjoyed spending quality time with his family – and things between him and Jane have been heating up.
“Vic has loved being back with Jane,” Craig, 50, tells TV WEEK. “It’s because of being back in her company that certain feelings have emerged.”
On the walk with Nicolette and Byron, Vic begins to lose his breath. When his kids take him to the car park to rest, they spot Jane’s car, realising she must have wanted to join them.
Stressed that she has gone down the wrong path looking for them, Nicolette and Byron go searching for her, warning Vic to stay put. But he doesn’t listen, and when he sees Jane’s hat in a bush, his concerns for her wellbeing push him to his limits, causing him to collapse.
“Vic is faced with dying alone,” Craig says. “This is his real fear.”
Meanwhile, Nicolette and Byron find Jane and return to check on Vic, whose condition alarms them. Will Vic make it out of the wilderness alive?
